The staff at hotel Mirimar were very helpful and couldn't do more to make our holiday relaxing and enjoyable. We stayed B & B and the breakfast was excellent with good portion size and the one evening we stayed for an evening meal that was also very good. Many of the rooms have sea views and the rooms are very generous in size and the cleanliness of the hotel was excellent. The cost of our stay was very good value and we would be happy to recommend this hotel.

Would certainly recommend the hotel . Reasonably priced and lovely food. The location. Efficiency of staff - nothing was too much trouble. Superb twin room with sea view. Option to have evening meal if desired and that daily menu was displayed in reception area. Able to buy parking cards in any number from reception. Everything really, very friendly welcome on arrival, value for money. Friendly & efficient staff, clean. It was a long walk to the beach down a bendy road but it was good for fitness :-) It was unfortunately a bit chilly to go in the pool. I cannot express enough how welcoming and willing all of the staff were to help you and to do all that they could to make your stay at the Miramar a pleasant one. I have already reccommended the hotel to several friends and family. Excellent value for money. Breakfast very good. Staff very attentive and helpful. Rooms large newly refurbished. It is easy to have a car, because it is quite a climb from the beach to the Hotel. The rooms are quite big, some have a nice view. The one small niggle I would say is the noise you can hear from other residents in the rooms adjoining which unfortunately would be difficult do anything about as it is just normal noise level. It certainly wouldn't put me off staying at the hotel again as it is a very small problem and overall the hotel is very pleasant and a relaxing place to spend a holiday. Smoking area beneath room window. Menu removed from table once breakfast ordered - unable to peruse evening menu at leisure. Poor water pressure making shower ineffective. Nothing. Decor in restaurant and bar could do with an update. Hotel located up a steep hill from beach so could be difficult for someone with walking difficulty. Sound did travel a bit and you could hear doors slamming but it's nothing that ear plugs can't fix if you're a light sleeper. The decor in the dining room is depressing Lack of ambience in both the dining room and the conservatory...minor changes such as white table linen would make a huge difference in dining room. Softer lighting eg lamps or tea lights in the evening would make the conservatory much nicer as well getting rid of some of the cactus and overgrown plants... Didn't like the price of bottle of water - £2.85 for a litre bottle...We had to buy it because the hotel drinking water has an unpleasant taste. Rooms very old fashioned, need up dating, we were on ground floor, which we wanted, but very noisy, could hear people walking and thumping about especially at night, and slamming doors, not sound proof. Nobody in Reception after 9pm, just a contact number. Poor shower pressure in bathroom at times. thin walls made noise from other rooms loud .. The breakfast choice and quality. Dated furnishings. The breakfast is quite simple. Most of the guest are in their last years of life,. although there is no inconvenience that younger people stays in the hotel. you can find that the hotel is for old generation than younger. old-fashion interior, full or older guest or family. if you are looking for luxurious or excitement. you should look for other hotel. however, It is indeed relaxed. Poky, not good value for money, breakfast pretty miserable. Bathroom way too small. Looked like a caravan (caravan bathrooms are bigger!!). Bedroom very plain- not homely. Walls too thin. old fashioned décor needs up dating. lack of air con in room facilities very basic. Lacking in facilites, no food after 6pm.
