Faultless service. Excellent Food. Beautifully decorated and clean. Many luxurious extras. Flat screen TV. Wonderful Coffee Machine. Complimentary muffins, biscuits, toiletries. Friendly, efficient reception. Attentive staff in restaurant and bar. A very good bedroom. Good supply of drink-making items and biscuits in room. Good value evening meal, with good choice of menu. Tables in both restaurant and breakfast area very well presented. Hotel is very handy for the railway station. It suited my own purposes very well. .
all reviews » I loved the Raid the Larder, very handy after a boozy wedding reception!The room was lovely, flat screen tv and a double bed with two singleduvets so no squabbling over who has been pinching the covers! All veryclean and tidy. The tea and coffee facilities inb the hallway, excellent choice Breakfast was also very good. Food was fabulous - hotel staff very polite and helpful. Made very welcome. Drink and snack facility very much appreciated. Very helpful staff, very nicely decorated, good security. Ambience. Reasonable price in pleasant ambience- helpful staff. The decor. On a cold winter's day, the restaurant and bar area was somewhat on the cool side; one needed to be warmly dressed. The hotel stands close to a busy road. However, with the bedroom windows closed on what was a cold winter's day, noise level was not a problem. The only thing not to like was the curtain in the room, they wouldhave done with being changed as they were haning off the rail and werea bit grubby.We didnt like the single duvets! They drove us mad!!. Light switches on wall opposite to bed. Power point too far from mirrorto use hair dryer. Shower not powerful enough. Couldn't email me a menu in advance so couldn't decide about eating there or not in advance. Menu looked fine when I got there but by then we had decided to eat elsewhere. If room was £10 cheaper would definitely stay there again.no elevator. Access to the hotel is via a rear entrance, which was not at all clearly marked and the entrance was difficult to find.Did not serve dinner Saturday night, Tea coffee facilties in the hallway not in the room. bike in gym was not working. the road next to our room was noisy . No air con in bedroom night temp was about 26 degrees, Extractor fan in bathroom not working, No tea/coffee facilities in room these were in the corridor so if you wanted a drink you had to get dressed to get it. Restaurant not open on saturday night,. The failure to include cooked breakfast within the price was quite alienating.
