Great location! Just next to the bus station from which I could travel
to anywhere on the island conveniently. I booked for three nights for
only 20 pounds including breakfast, which is really a bargain! The room
was clean with pleasant red color.
the room was clean & spacious.
breakfast very good - choices brilliant
Parking not a issue - plenty parking on esplanade - inexpensive too
Really enjoyed our stay, would book again, but for longer next time.all reviews »
Everywhere was very clean... Staff were all friendly and very helpful...
The hotel is right next to one of the best sandy beaches on the island.
Location was great, seating outside was great could sit relax and have a
drink watching the world go by. Entertainment good. Food good.
Lovely location on the sea front overlooking the pier, the view at dusk was phenomenal, friendly staff, nice rooms, well furnished.
The staff went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable giving us a bigger room and a travel cot for the baby.
The food was good, entertainment was good, staff were very good. Reasonable price.
We loved the friendly helpful staff , good bar prices and clean rooms.
The room is decorated sweetly, which makes me feel like at home.
Good breakfast, enjoyed bar facilities and swimming pool..

Entertainment very good bar staff very professional and friendly.
Staff were good and helpful!.
Design and location.
Excellent location.
Closeness to sea.
Opposite sea and reasonably priced. Helpful staff and a lift. Although there wasn't any exclusive parking spaces, there was however, public parking that was very close and only cost £1 per hour between 10am and 6pm otherwise it was free. Admittedly these spaces filled up pretty quickly in the day time as they were almost on the beach!, if, like us, you were out sightseeing all day then by 6 or 7pm the spaces started emptying and because breakfast was at 8.30am we were out of the hotel by 10am a.
location was great the best thing about the place was the tea / coffee in the room and the plesant cleaners.
The staff were friendly and helpful.

It is a cheap hotel... Dont expect modern luxury. Some rooms dont have a
shower (only bath).... But a quick phone call to the hotel ensured me
that my room did have. No complaints at all.
Our first room was small and toilet not working, the problem was soon
rectified.
Breakfast slightly disappointing, shower was very hard to use and very slow water flow and it was full of OAPs which isn't necessarily a criticism just for any young couples it is a bit weird.
No complaints.
Shower a bit small.
I didn't like the rules that we have to hand in keys when we going out during daytime. It feels insecure when we merely call on our room number and we can have our keys back. Seems like every stranger are able to get out keys away.
Lots of stairways to climb, very small lift.
The lift was out of order.
should provide shower gell instead of soap.
Breakfast on sunday was served quite late around 08.30 and thus have to miss that.
breakfast a bit small.
Noisy from outside hotel bcos its close to the road and pub.
Room needed updating.
Slighty dated, needs a bit of modernising.
our old bathroom was terrible and also courtyard view wasnt nice.
our room didn't have a shower
our room was extremely hot - no fans to hire either-having to book in the morning for an evening meal-we could only book in after 2pm so didn't have chance.
Parking was very difficult time.
Rooms outdated, not very comfortable and no parking facilities.
Old facilities.
Breakfast not starting until 8-30.
Bedroom was basic, outdated, plastic tea spoons.....yuk, tv you needed a magnifying glass to see, curtains and nets dirty and hanging off rails..... Shabby without the chic.......
No shower in room...only a bath.
The room we had was originally twice the size. A partition wall had been built dividing the room into two. This meant that we had half of a bay window which only had one side window that could be opened. This prevented us from capturing any sea breeze and made the room very claustrophobic and extremely hot. With no air conditioning and outside temperatures reaching 30 plus degrees, we spent as little time as possible in our room, plus there was no shower, not even hand held.
the bed had seen beta days, you couldnt swing a cat round in the toilet come shower room, the breakfast and service at breakfast was aporling, we gave up and went to Barnabys for breakfast.
The food was appalling. Their idea of an English breakfast is stuck in the 70s, really is there any need to serve up a soggy tinned tomato when we're in the season of plenty? A little more imagination and more expense on better quality ingredients would go a long way. The hotel is also quite noisy, being situated next to the pier has strong drawbacks. Tacky music poured in through my window until late in the evening. Not the best hotel experience.
Price too high for service and accommodation. Rude, disinterested. Room
long walk, many stairs, no lift. Should be taken off list.
unclean.
This hotel was full of elderly people and not modern at all.bathroom had no shower only bath.
No parking.
The decor was very old fashioned and facilities were very old and basic. Staff was rude and accused me of having a different room when it was their own mistake. It was not a comfortable atmosphere.
Very dated and shabby, showers smaller than what you would get in a caravan, unsafe lift, bed covers dirty, curtains so thin the light shone through all night. Swimming pool very small and cloudy.
It was dirty, smelly and the bed so uncomfortable. The whole place is old and very dated. The staff were not friendly as previous reviews have stated.
