friendly, clean. Go to the Beach-shack 2 mins down the road for food on the beach. Really great dinner with the teenagers - fab wine and burgers by the sea. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. All areas clean and tidy. Very good location. Would visit again. N/A. no wholemeal bread or yoghurt available at breakfast sandown has gone down in the world since we were last there; too many boarded-up shops and other signs of decay. no fault of the hotel I would hasten to add. only bad point was no evening entertainment although advertised. showers in hotel were so noisy you can hear other people showering as system struggled to pump water around.,almost sounded like an air raid. car parking. Can't say there was anything I really disliked. People in room next door talking loudly to 1 am, thin walls. Nothing to dislike. The rooms, although clean are very dated and looking a bit care worn. There was only an hours window for breakfast, from 8.30 to 9.30 on the Saturday we ate there. Could have done with a slightly earlier start. Bedroom very hot, no air conditioning or fan. Entertainment finished too early 10pm. The room is too noisy and small. Room didn't have a view at all, as was advertised as well as being next to the main entrance. The hotel wasn't very busy which the owner had claimed, only offering us a smelly damp room down a long corridor instead. Shower needed updating and unable to adjust temperature - boiling hot. Not suitable for a child. Tiny TV screen. Hotel is average 3 star hotel and over priced. Overall, cleanliness was good but the bed linens were really shoddy. non working shower. Not will stay, staff was rood, toilet and shower didn't worked properly, breakfast was very poor. Basically this hotel is for older people and every guest we encuntered were elderly. We, a couple with two young children, felt vey unwelcoming. Staff were dull, no smile on their face. We stayed for three nights and not even once any of the staff asked how things are or even talk to our children. Will never stay there again and we regret every bit of it. All.
