Most rooms have views of the water or the 12th-century ruins of Wilton Castle, just 2 minutes’ walk from the building. The River Wye is famous for salmon fishing, and guests can enjoy the Wye Valley Walk, which runs through pretty woodland as it follows the course of the river. The Bridge House is also convenient for venturing into Wales, with the border only 20 minutes’ drive away. A full English breakfast, made using fresh local produce wherever possible, is served in the elegant ground-floor dining room, which offers views across the river. Rooms at Bridge House are large and individually decorated with Hypnos beds, and some have striking views of the River Wye. Features include free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV, as well as tea/coffee making facilities. They are equipped with an en suite bathroom with free toiletries.

What people say

Our stay at The Bridge was extremly enjoyable with beautiful views of the river. The staff were friendly and couldnt do enough for us and our room was of an exceptional standard with beautiful antique furniture. We hadn't booked to eat but were exceedingly lucky there was a table available - which I am sure is unusual. The food was indescribable with fresh local produce and exciting tastes.
all reviews Friendly and with excellent restaurant. The food was absolutely outstanding. Food in the restaurant was superb. Service and excellent restaurant. The food was fantastic - perhaps the best meal we have had in some time. The staff were also very friendly and the service excellent. The dinner was excellent - beautifully presented, tasty and the staff made you feel very welcome without any pretention.the room was pretty good, but the food was outstanding, no wonder they call it a Restuarant With Rooms!. location, views, friendliness of staff, prompt refresh of room faclities. Very friendly and helpful staff. Food excellent but pricey. Lovely views.Excellent restaurant. Very good full English breakfast. Spendlid views.Little "extras" from the chef!. Excellent food.Friendly helpful staff - dinner service was excellent but second breakfast service a bit haphazard.Food was superb. Friendly staff. The Restaurant was absolutey out of this world. Proably one of the best we have ever eaten in. Would definately eat there again.Evening dinner to high standard. The food and location of the hotel was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was nothing I could fault at The Bridge and will definately be returning and reccomending to my friends and family. Dining room cold in the evening. Wood-chip wallpaper! Would have liked bath as well as shower.Staff a bit distant. Had to turn the heater on when we got there, cold bedroom. They gave us fruit, biscuits, milk etc after we had gone out to fetch our own! If they had told us to expect it we would have been fully satisfied.Found bed uncomfortable and would have preferred lighter bed linen.Decor in our bedroom could have been a little better for a 4 *. Dissapointed that the room we booked wasn't the one we were given and the hotel's attitude that it was just too bad that there was nothing they could do about it.Superior double room was anything but!. I booked a superior room, but the bathroom was terrible and really let down the whole feel of the place. There was no shower and it looked about 30 years old!. The room was filthy we did not stay the second night. It didn't feel like like a £100+ a night hotel. Very poor value for money.
