  The fact that my partner and i did not make it for breakfast after a rather late night an although check out time was stated at 10am, the staff left us till 12 ish ( much appreciated ) - Nice clean rooms, look as if they have recently been re decorated.

  What is not to like ? The staff make you so welcome as soon as you walk through the door Meals are to my taste, beds are comfortable everything worked. Staff participated in the surprise and we had a lovely evening/night at the hotel. The hotel is very old however, I was pleasantly surprised how clean everything was.   I liked the fact it was a lodge with my own door going out onto a small verandah. I had my dog with me and this was great for her to get out and in. Staff were all very friendly and helpful, also very dog friendly and made a fuss of Molly. Ian made sure we were happy with everything. Dogs were allowed into the bar area whic - Privacy to chalet and car parking at the door. Chosen as dog made welcome and access for exercise easy. Good freshly cooked food, good portions including an excellent choice for breakfast. Bed comfortable, en.suite and facilities for hot drinks. Have used again and will do so in future for one night stop over. We found the staff to be very helpful and the open fire in main building was a welcome sight in the cold weather.
