It was huge, with 2 comfy beds, an armoire, a large table with a monitor for telly as well as room for our stuff, other amenities, and plenty of - This is no ordinary B & B but a century old pub situated in a quiet residential area, 5 minutes from the train station and 10 from the city centre, with friendly helpful staff and excellent food at a good price. I stayed two nights and had intended going into the city for the evenings but ate and drank in the pub instead, great food and cask ales I really enjoyed it - even the locals were friendly! I was there for research at a University college a mile or two away and it was raining so the

  Firstly we would like to congratulate the staff for their excellent service. They were very friendly and professional.The Three Pigeons was very tastefully refurbished - the combination of oldie worldie and contemporary styling made it unique.The photos on your website don't really do the rooms justice, as the bedroom and bathroom were of an incre... what people say » dibly high standard. We dined at the restaurant on the Friday evening, and the quality of the food was great, as were the breakfasts. - Don't judge a book by it's cover... it's not in the best position as it's on a busy crossroads, but don't miss out - go in! You will not be dissapointed and once you're in you don't hear the traffic at all. The staff, the room, the food - everything was first class! The owners have spent a fortune but it's been well spent and it just works! We had a very lovely stay, will be coming back and telling all our friends. Thank you!

Room clean & comfortable, tea & coffee making facilities & small terrace from patio doors with tables & chairs, lovely for sitting out in this quiet location with lots of birdsong. One small thing which would be useful is a small - We were also contacted prior to our arrival by the owner asking if everything was alright and if we would be requiring food on our arrival. The owner, who was very friendly, she met us as we arrived and made us feel very welcome. The room was very clean and comfortable with a very large bed and on suite shower.   As we drove up the very long driveway, we turned the corner and the modern part of Crown Plaza and traditional Heythrop Hall came into view - spectacular! I'd booked for a party of 7, myself, husband, 3 children aged 17, 14 and 11 plus my parents for my mother's 70th birthday. We were all impressed and my mum thought it a wonderful birthday surpri... what people say » se. We did the 1 and 2 mile walks around the hotel's picturesque grounds. My eldest son used the gym and all the children used the swimming pool. Free - I cannot say enough about the staff at The Heythrop Hall and the Crown Plaza. Without exception every one was so helpful, pleasant, and kind. You MUST let your staff know that they are doing a FAB job. The room we had at the Crown Plaza was really comfortable and plush. The choice of places to eat was also excellent as we didn't want to be tied to a set time to eat, so ate in the Brassey bar. Excellent and again the staff were TOPS. Will certainly be coming again and the best thing is its on
