    The location was close enough to shops and restaurants, and a long walk or quick bus ride into downtown. It was clean and comfortable and although the hosts/employees were on the shy and quiet side, they did a great job and were friendly.     The staff at Becket was welcoming and friendly. The room was comfortable and the place felt private and familiar yet was right in the thick of Oxford. Breakfast was delicious and Marie was incredibly helpful and accommodating. My room was spacious, well equipped with the basic stuff (like hangers and drawers) often lacking in budget places, and the staff were friendly and efficient.     The evening manager / barman was very friendly and ensured I had the best possible option on available rooms to meet my situation [a late booking]. The evening meal and choice was stunning. I left a tip with the manager as I forgot - The location was just perfect .. right in the heart of Burford's pretty village high street. Cosy open fire and good food available throughout the day. Live music on the Saturday evening which caused no problem re noise levels etc. Our room was the Jay Room and it had a gorgeous big en suite bathroom/dressing room and the bedroom window overlooked a quaint courtyard and cottagey roof-tops ...     I was a little put off by the 2star rating on letsbookhotel.com for the accommodation as with business, we use the Premier Inn as a basis for comparison which are typically 3 star. There is no way this hotel is a 2 star, it is definitely on par if not better than Premier Inn standard. The rooms I found to be way above what I expected, very spacious, comfy bed, extra pillows - I arrived late Sunday (plenty of free parking available) to a friendly welcome and asked for an iron and ironing board which was instantly produced. Good service. Nice spacious bathroom and very comfortable bed. The free wifi was a big plus and enabled me to send an important email before sleeping. Excellent cooked breakfast. No problems with checking in or out and nice friendly farewell. Sorry that business meant I could not stay any longer but hope to be back next time for leisure purposes.

    Access to Internet was most important for me. The whole experience was very pleasant, dinner was in the pub section and very nice. - The friendly nauture of the owners/staff. The room was brilliant and very handy for Silverstone which is shy we were staying there.
