    I'm on gluten free diet - had no problems whatsoever. The chef even amended the Valentine's Day menu in the Grill Room. All the staff were exceptionally helpful. The rooftop hyropool was wonderful. - The upgrade to our room was very comfortable and appreciated. The staff were all very helpfull and friendly.

    The hotel building was very impressive, the staff were friendly and helpful, the room was superb and the food was excellent. Ideally placed for us, as we were attending the March & Rally for Scottish Independence on Calton Hill that weekend. We only stayed two nights and didn't have time to use the spa/pool but it looked really nice.     The location on the Royal Mile was perfect for our stay, within easy reach of the things we wanted to do. It was easy to drive too, with easy parking behind the hotel. It was also easy to get out of Edinburgh from this location.     Choosing accommodation in a city that you are unfamiliar with is always hard. We chose well as this hotel is brilliantly located in the "old " city right off the Royal Mile. Everything is within walking distance and the rooms are a great size with all amenities. This apartment hotel is reasonably priced and is brilliantly locate - Wow- fantastic hotel. We got it for a really good price through letsbookhotel.com and our stay was perfect. The staff were brilliant and so attentive allowing us to check in early and assigning us to a fab room. The room was spacious bright and colourful with lots of lovely added extras including free movies,mini bar drinks, robes and slippers.     The staff were extremely helpful and we enjoyed being in the surroundings of the old part of the hotel. It had character as well as having modern facilties. The location was not only ideally central it was also very picturesque being surrounded by the georgian buildings around the square.     We paid the minimum and got the maximum in comfort with a freely given upgrade. The staff were very welcoming and were pleased that we were pleased. The bed was extremely comfy the room was fantastic. The location is excellent. Not one negative comment from this satisfied customer.     This hotel is like my view of an old hotel should be steeped in history and splendour. It was a pleasure the rooms are not modern although they do have the touches like the plasma tv and modern bathroom. Overall I would not change anything about the hotel it was perfect.     Central hotel, very comtemporary and the room was spacious and comfortable. The restaurant staff were particularly professional and helpful. The bar food was good also. There is a bus stop 50yds from the hotel and you can get a bus to Edinburgh which costs £3- 50p return. which is a dam sight cheaper than the £20+ it costs to park for the day. The Hotel staff are friendly and helpful the hotel is a very modern design and beautifully appointed. Don't be put off by the fact its next to Tesco's on a retail park, its just brilliant planning as if you are going out for the day you can go and get food to take with - We loved the design & decor of the Dakota. It was very modern & stylish. The staff from beginning to end were amazing ... So so friendly. We stayed for 2 nights but on the 2nd night we decided we wld like our 9 yr old Grandson who we were visiting in Edinburgh to stay the night with us. We asked reception if that wld be possible & within 10 mins a z bed was being set up in our room. We had a great weekend & will definitely be going back. My Grandson was well impressed also.. Hi

    Had a fantastic stay in edinburgh malmaison, couldn't fault it, room was brilliant and staff very helpful. - Resteraunt service and food were very good, we had a lovely meal. Very freindly staff.
