Excellent location,Five minute stroll to the Castle .The bed was superb, very big and very comfortable.Excellent choice at breakfast.Staff very efficient. We had asked for discretion at check-in in order to surprise one of our party and they followed the request exactly.Would be happy to stay here in the future. everything, we stayed half board the food was fabulous, our room was just perfect for us, the staff we encounted were all lovely, friendly and helpful. we didn't use the gym and spa facilities but definately will next time. the location of the hotel is ideal and central for any visitor's needs.
all reviews » I was very pleased with everything about hotel, having read various negative reports..I was expecting the worst, however,hotel was excellent, perfectly situated for everything, would definately go back and recommend to friends...breakfast was pretty good too!!!. large bedrooms comfotable beds ( would have liked a feather pillow!!) relaxed atmosphere. Dining room was full for breakfast, but dealt with extremely well, calling us from the lounge when there was a table free.Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Great location. Room was very spacious, clean and nicely decorated. The breakfast buffet offered good hot and cold selections. The location was superb. The room was cozy. New modern bathroom had the best shower of our three week trip. Our room was a little noisy due to overlooking a piece of machinery that sounded like a generator for air conditioning. Howver we were offered another room. The chemicals used in the jacuzzi were unbalanced, we were asked to get out after complaining that the chlorine was irritating our eyes. My husbands jewellery turned black due to the chemicals, we are awaiting the hotels response to this.price of breakfast!. A deal with a local car-park for discount parking for guests.Leisure facilities were hit and miss, jacuzzi not working, pool cold, no steam in steam room, changing rooms smelly and no showers in changing rooms. First morning at breakfast, the food was cold!. The only thing I did not like was when we arrived home we went to book again same amount of nights (saturday and sunday) and the price had risen by a vast amount, so we did not book. rooms to the front were very prone to noise from the road and passing pedestrians, rear facing rooms would be more preferable. The menu was limited on vegetarian options. a bid noisey but what else would u expect in the middle of it all. apart from they lost our breakfast card twice the hotel was great. As a member of the hotel's leisure club I would have normally expected a room upgrade. This did not happen although members of my party non-club members) did receive a large room. Upon complaining to reception there were no more rooms available. I feel they didn't take the club membership seriously.Drinks prices at bar. lack of cheeper parking. Room was a little small for two people. However, we had requested a room where there would be no noise at night time so this may have limited the selection of rooms available. Bit like a rabbit warren trying to find our room. View of a roof which we couldn't really complain about at the price. Shower head holder was broken.
