Nice little place to get our head down after a long tiring day wedding planning. Perfect for what we needed and would definitely recommend for our wedding guests in June 2014. Breakfast was superb. Lovely couple who own the place were nice enough to chat with us and give advice on the area.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing was a problem to them and I felt safe and welcomed. I travel frequently south of the border and have never received such a nice welcome as I did here. The quality and size of the room was very good value. The service was excellent - I was even welcomed with a complimentary tea and cake.The breakfasts were very tasty and generous & the evening meal I had in my room was superb value. Great location overlooking the town square. The town itself is very pretty and definitely worth a visit. I would not hesitate to return and can thoroughly recommend it.

Rowallan is a lovely country house with beautiful mature gardens, just a few miles drive away from the Galloway Forest. It is just 5 minutes walk from Newton Stewart high street. Julie is an incredible friendly host, nothing is too much trouble for her. If I'm in that area again I shall definitely try to stay at Rowallan.
