    Steve and Cath gave me such a warm welcome, and were happy to help wherever needed. Including making me a packed breakfast when I had to leave very early. The hotel is clean and comfortable, with good size rooms and lovely facilities. The location was perfect, literally 10 minutes walk from the outlet village, 5 minutes to Anvil hall for wedding c... what people say » eremonies and only 2 minutes from Gretna Hall. Could not have picked a better place, and great value for money. I will be back!! - Nice little place to get our head down after a long tiring day wedding planning. Perfect for what we needed and would definitely recommend for our wedding guests in June 2014. Breakfast was superb. Lovely couple who own the place were nice enough to chat with us and give advice on the area.

    Hosts were very friendly welcoming on arrival. we had two rooms and both very comfortable and equipped. Beds extremely comfy.     Margaret was so welcoming and friendly. We felt right at home.... which was lovely after driving 4 hours to the ferry and then getting on the ferry for two hours. We were very tired so the location and accessibility from the ferry was second to none. The house was so warm and cosy. I loved the decor of the house and furnishings in our room.     Manda and family were extremely welcoming, helpful and friendly. She could not do enough for you. Breakfast was excellent, great choice and served at a time to best suit you. Close enough for easy access to everywhere we wanted to go see, but far enough away to be completely quiet.     From an extremely friendly welcome to a well appointed room to a superb breakfast, our stay was first class. Free parking at the door and right in the middle of town with lots of places to eat and drink, cannot be faulted. A definite place to stay in the future. A lot of stairs to climb to the rooms which may prove difficult for the mobility chall... what people say » enged, but my 79 year old mum managed! Friendly hosts and nothing was too much trouble. You won't regret staying at The Bonnington, we didn't! - Lesley& Paul were excellent hosts and were very friendly and helpful. Even though we wanted to leave early for the Open Championship all of the breakfast items were laid out for us - milk. orange juice in coolboxes, bread for toasting in cling film. Accommodation very clean, easy parking, moffat is a good venue.

    Denise & Paul were wonderful hosts! The room was at the back and very quiet. Nice view of the back garden area. En-suite was spacious & the towel warming rack was a nice surprise. We really appreciated the personal attention on the morning breakfast. Additional local information & assistance that Denise & Paul provided was exceptio... what people say » nal! Their warm hospitality made us feel right at home. We will definitely stay with them on our next visit. - We stayed here as an overnight stop-off between the Isle of Skye and London. The room was nicely furnished, the bed comfortable, the shower powerful and the breakfast delicious. The owners are very welcoming, pleasant and friendly. We were given useful information about local walks, restaurants and pubs, and about Moffat itself. We thoroughly recommend it.

    Pat the owner is wonderful, friendly and welcoming. The BandB is lovely, our room was immaculately presented with nice little touches. Also a lovely view from the windown and idyllic surroundings. Pat was brilliant with our toddler son, providing toys for him to play with and getting him to feed the ducks.     We stayed in the deluxe double room, which is located at a seperate location from the Marine House Hotel. It is only a £3 taxi run if you can't be bothered walking. When we arrived we were greeted by the owner Fiona. Lovely lady who made us feel very welcome. This deluxe double room is the only room available at this location so we were the only g... what people say » uests. Just means that the owner can focus all her attention on the one set of guests to make it feel that bit for special. We used the swimming pool - We asked for the king size delux room, for this you don't stay in the main hotel you stay in the owners property on the shoreline. They couldn't do enough for us from our time of arrivel till we left... There is no bar or resteraunt at the main house but a 10 min walk gets you everything that you need. Rooms are spotless and decorated to a very high standered,,,breakfast was amazing , once you had that you didn't need to be looking for meals later ,,, and to top it all off you have use of the p

    The Landlady was extremely Friendly and Pleasant, and made you more than Welcome, so much so you really felt that you were a member of the Family.The location of the B&B was right on the edge of the town with a Bus Stop 5 Metres away. There was also a choice of a Packed Lunch if required, at a minimal extra charge. The Rooms were cleaned every day - Breakfast was very good with a wide choice on the menu. Cooked just right. Room was very spacious and beds were comfortable. I would highly recommed this B&B. Good location overlooking river Nith and very near to the centre of town.

    Everything! Bruce the manager really went the extra mile for me! The staff was extremely accommodating. From the moment we arrived till long after we left! I was carried away by the fabulous furniture and used all their drawers, and ended up leaving behind my make up kit in one of their drawers! Love Rivendell! - Location - close to town and all amenities but far enough from town centre for quiet break. Room décor old fashioned including 4 poster bed to suit styled accommodation - modern up to date equipment, Fab breakfast and service in well lit cosy room. Plentiful parking spaces and children's play area out back (if you have little ones with you). Great for price - booked on special rate 2 days before trip
