  The hotel was beautiful, the setting lovely. There was a wedding taking place but we were warned. However, it would have been good if we could have eaten something at the hotel. Maybe ordered takeaway if nothing else! The staff were extremely pleasant, polite and helpful (especially Russell who appeared to be on duty throughout our stay!) The room... what people say » was very clean. We could not hear the wedding which we had been assured of. Also the rooms were not too hot as in other hotels we have stayed in - The room we stayed in was a gold room, clearly refurbished to a high standard. Luxurious room with a view out over the gardens and down to the sea. Staff were very friendly and accomodating. Ideally placed for a five minute walk down into the harbour where there is a range of bars and clubs. There is a slight hill walk down and back up to the hotel but we didnt find it that bad although it could be for the less agile. All in all a fantastic stay and we will definitely stay again.

  This was the second time staying at this hotel. The owners are friendly and courteous and the facilities are what you would expect of a hotel with a much higher star rating. We stayed in a self catering room on this occasion and found it to have everything we needed for a wonderful stay.   The whole experience was fantastic from check in to leaving. We were greeted with a lovely smile . We stayed in Tren apartment. Which had everything you could possibly need. The pub served a fabulous carvery. The pool facility's were great and we started each day with a swim.
