    It was an ideal overnight B&B to give us a pleasant break on a long trip. We tried to book to stay on the way back but there were no vacancies - which was hardly a surprise as the visitor's book was full of nothing but praise.     When arriving at Thornhill I found the owner very friendly and accommodating with my requests. The room was clean tidy and comfortable. Food excellent with a good selection for both breakfast and evening meal if required. I was pleased with the décor and atmosphere very relaxed. I would be pleased to recommend this hotel to anyone. - My husband and i came to the Teignmouth area for our honeymoon and return for our 25th wedding anniversary. When we got to our room there was an anniversary card from Nicky and Brian.Nicky had also booked us a table at a local restaurent.Brian was a great chef and breakfast was very good. They were both very helpful and friendly. Our room had agreat view of the sea and we had a lovely weekend at Thornhill. Definitely come again.

    Exceeded my expectations, the room was large with lots of free space as was my en-suite. The breakfast selection was amongst the best I have ever had, can you believe they even make their own bread and yogurt! Both of which were simply delicious. I have travelled widely in the UK and if every BandB I stayed in was a good as this I would be a very h... what people say » appy woman.     I have just returned from a 5 night stay in this stunning building and can, hand on heart, say I will be back as soon as I can. I was in Phoebe room, set out as a twin room, staying with my mum. The room was beyond comfortable and I slept like a baby. High quality bed linens & furnishings; - I stayed here in March as I wanted to stay in this historic property. Wow what a great decision that was, the whole house is fabulous, full of character, spotlessly clean, stylish and beautifully appointed. Greeted wonderfully by the owners, a Devon home made cream tea on arrival in their beautiful sitting room in big leather chairs. The room we stayed in was called Pickle on the ground floor, the bedroom was so comfy, we had a fridge with complementary water, milk and soft drinks, real coffee

    We loved the farm and the excellent hosting by Stephanie and Peter. There was plenty of space in a very quiet location. The alpacas were also very entertaining. We hope to have a reason to return to Dartmouth again soon and would have no reservation with booking in at Ashbourne farm again. - We appreciated the freedom to come and go as we wanted.... what people say » A strong willingness to provide a service. An excellent setting and a relaxed atmosphere. To be recommended.
