  We liked the size of the apartment, the open fire, the fact that you could really spread and feel at home. Our daughters appreciated the WiFi! It was also great to have the kitchen and to avoid the added cost of eating out. There were other residents but, in such a solid place, we just didn't hear them. It had everything you need and great to have wi-if, TV & DVD player. Lovely quiet retreat with lots of grounds to wander through.

  Booked for two nights the night before our arrival and we were extremely lucky to book the last double room available and one with a spectacular view too. Who could grumble to stepping out the shower to a view of Win Hill, endless sheep and the odd cow. The staff were lovely and the duty manager was extremely patient with me asking endless questio... what people say » ns and advice about local walks. My hubby enjoyed a massage soon after arrival while I sampled a brief trial hike up Lose Hill. We then met in the hot - Everything. Splendid staff, friendly, helpful, intelligent and very professional. Wondeful bucolic setting. Excellent food, complex and tasty but never OTT. Jolly good wine list. Clean rooms with lovely views and really comfortable beds. Good pool.

  The couple at Mardon House were brilliant people, they were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. They were really helpful and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Our room was outstanding and worth every penny. - The room was excellent, the owners were lovely, and the full english breakfast was to die for.
