    2** rating... not really.. like all the other reviews it was more like an easy 3***. The food was well...... simply excellent, and while i was sitting in the lounge enjoying my point looking through a huge glass window at the sea, the view was stunning.....A perfect relaxing evening to an otherwise busy day....3*** ... yes.... 3*** service at ... what people say » 2** prices.. well pleased.....     We like our stay at Geckos Rest,from the moment we got no the car park,John was there to help with luggage.They explain where best to go and the place they enjoy dinning.They lend us an iron which was not in the package and even save us from having take away on my wife birthday after she lost a button from the middle of her dress.Well done to Amy ... what people say » for doing her research because she had a sewing kit ready with every colour thread to fix this button and any other mending issues.The room was clean - Genuinely the best guest house we've ever stayed in. Excellent location, easy walk to newquay centre, fistral beach or other beaches. Accommodation is modern, very clean and lacks nothing. Breakfast was to the standard of any five star hotel that we've stayed in. The owners are very pleasant and cannot do enough to please.     Lovely countryside position over looking the small towns of Port Isaac and Tintagel as well as the Cornish coast line,, the staff were very friendly and most helpful,,a great place to stay if you want to explore the area from Bude to Newquay, also would be good as a location if you enjoy walking the hotel itself was very clean and on our recent s... what people say » tay the bathrooms had not long been refurbished,, the owners go out of their way to make you feel most welcome,, overall would recommend a stay here i - Staff were lovely and made sure we were comfortable. The place has just been done up and everything is nice and new and modern. Even though we had checked out at 11am, the staff let us come back to shower after surfing. This made a massive difference to our day and travel home. The breakfast was also nice. There was free WiFi and it had a couple of pool tables which kept us entertained whilst enjoying a pint at the end of the long day surfing.

    GREAT location for Newquay beaches and South West Coast Path. A lovely B&B with friendly hosts. Room was clean, cosy, spacious and very well equipped. Breakfast was generous and set me up for the day. Importantly for me (as a solo traveller) I felt safe and welcomed. An honest British B&B with homely touches. The room was uniquely decorated, comfortable and clean and the breakfast was superb. We were given great advice on the locality and where to eat etc. Cindy's ducks are well loved and cared for.     Lovely rooms, good beds and very nice breakfast with lots of options. Loved the view from our window and the proximity to the coastal path.     Everything! We couldn't fault a single thing. Anyone who does is incredibly picky because we loved it so much we stayed an extra night. Three nights there was like a two week relaxing holiday. We will definitely go back and we can't wait until we do. Cannot rave highly enough about this gem of a place.     We booked two rooms for ourselves and my Inlaws for four nights. We were welcomed on arrival by Phil who immediately made us welcome with tea/coffee and go,e-made cake, while Helen got our rooms keys. We were then shown to our rooms which were well furnished, immaculately clean with kingsize beds. The breakfast each morning was freshly cook - We pre-booked an evening meal. Our hostess Helen is an ex-chef and the meal was sensational as was breakfast the next morning. the room was a good size as was bathroom with all facilities. Our host Phil is a bit different but loves to engage in a philosophical chat. Helen is warm and friendly. the surrounds are very quiet and we would certainly go back there, and would expect our hosts to be very welcoming again..     The owners were so friendly and helpful. Steve gave us maps and recommendations. The 2 room family suite was perfect for us travelling with 3 boys, I loved the table in the room to have breakfast, the fridge is stocked with everything you need and more, the room was clean and the beds comfortable.     The room which had recently been refurbished was excellent. The bed was comfortable, the decor bright, modern and tasteful and the shower was easy to use.
