friendly and efficient, pleasant stay - although the hotel is a big old place the rooms were extremely clean the beds very comfortable, we didnt get a chance to eat breakfast as we awere leaving on the 6.15 ferry but was offered continental breakfast instead. excellent value for money and I wouldnt hesitate to stay there again

My sister and I arrived earlier than the designated check in time and were greeted by a lovely staff member (Chris). He assured us that he would clean our room first in order for us to check in early. He also helped to carry our bags to our room and refused a tip. He was extremely accommodating and friendly. This is the second time I have stayed at the Selborne Hotel, this time with elderly mum (last time as a lone traveller). Once again I would like to thank the manager and staff for their friendliness and courtesy. We asked for a few specific requests to aid mum's requirements too and the hotel assisted in every way.
