    The owner of the b&b was really nice, available and made us feel at ease soon. He is also a good cook, we had home made bread (he did it) for breakfast and it was very good. The en-suite room was very nice, confortable and perfectly clean, with anything you need inside.     Very comfortable nicely furnished family suite with great beds. Suited our family of 4 with kids 6 & 8 as we had own sitting room space in evening. Suite has amazing views of the sea/port, and located away from noise of main town, but only a short walk along the promenade to get to shops, port for ferries and seafood restaurants. Chief highlight of our three week Scottish tour was Oban in general and the Barriemore in particular.

    We booked 3 rooms at the last minute and did not notice that the rooms were not en-suite. We were concerned as we had an 80 year old solo lady in our party but everything was fine. Nice clean guest house and very nice owners. Good Scottish breakfast to send us on our way. - Stayed in two separate rooms with adult son .Accommodation budget but... what people say » clean and comfortable enough.     I booked into the twin room and it was clean and comfortable and a lot larger than I expected. It has all the usual amenities such as tea making facilities, television; the internet access is free and a lot better than I have experienced in many of the higher end hotel chains. There is a sofa to watch television although the magnificent picturesque view from the room surpasses anything you can watch. The beds are lar - Everything. This has to be the most well appointed B&B we have ever stayed at. Janice was welcoming and friendly and has done an amazing job. Our room was beautiful and there were lots of special touches (like the complimentary sherry and sweets in crystal). Breakfast was fabulous, a huge selection (including haggis) and served in a beautiful breakfast room with beautiful china and crystal.     The house has been renovated 2 years ago and everything looks brand new. The interior decoration is lovely practical and beautiful. The in-house restaurant is excellent. Even though the house is close to the A82 it was absolutely quiet at night and as the beds are comfortable, you can have a deep recreative sleep. We enjoyed our evening meal in the hotel restaurant, although thought that a tablecloth was necessary.     Fiona was so so kind and helpful--we were a bit late checking in because we missed a train, and she responded immediately to my email and was very understanding! The guest house was comfortable, clean, and conveniently located up Jacob's Ladder. We had a great time in Oban and in Tobermory and would definitely recommend. We didn't run into any problems! - Fiona made us feel very welcome right from the start. Room was lovely,very comfortable ,even had chocolates on the bed! Great value for money and Fiona was so informative about Oban and surrounding areas.Good fish restaurant ee-usk, it's a must.
