The Old Mill offered a very warm welcome, immediate help with the free onsite parking and info on the facilities. Our room was clean and cosy and the bar/restaurant offered a great breakfast - even though they did not have so much hot breakfast choices for vegetarians they had no qualms about going off menu to provide for us. The dinner menu was good and the bar was a wonderful retreat after a long days exploring- especially the roaring fire. The staff could not have been more helpful. Well don.
all reviews » Everything. This is a classy, charming and yet funky place! beautifully decorated, very clean, and every staff member was kind and helpful and cheerful. We were impressed with the breakfast room and beautifully laid out buffet. Hot a La carte dishes came swiftly, you could see through to the kitchen where the cook deftly juggled the pots and pans. Our room was fabulous, refurbished to a modern high standard, with a stand-out bathroom/ shower (a rarity in the UK in our experience). Great location if you're staying in Pitlorchy. Great base to explore the surrounding national park and nearby towns. The staff were very professional, while fun and lighthearted, and concerned to make our stay enjoyable and easy. Great cosy feeling, and rooms quite spacious compared to other UK hotels. Everthing was excellent. Room was a great size for 2 adults and 2 children. Staff couldn't be anymore more friendly. Food was excellent, good choice for breakfasts and menu for dinner was great. Atmosphere was fantastic, band on the 2 nights we stayed. Just a really nice and friendly place. The Old Mill Inn was an excellent choice for a quiet break away,situated central,room first class, food first class, all staff excelled in making us feel welcome and could not do enough for us on our stay with them, Top marks to them all thank you :-)). Pitlochry is a pretty little town and is an excellent base for visiting the Highlands. The rooms are great, big airy and modern. The staff are caring and friendly. The Old Mill Inn is such a lovely welcoming home from home place to stay in Pitlochry, food, service, rooms, decour etc: are all excellent, the staff and the owner cannot do enough to make your stay any better. Very slow service. Not much, but there was an outside light close to the bedroom window which stayed on all night. The blinds didn't stop the strong light coming into the room. Staff promised to get it seen to. Car parking was a problem. Nothing in particular. The wifi was a bit hit or miss and although the bathroom looked amazing the hot water was slow to heat. It's our own fault, we have now decided not to use Inns/Pubs as our bedroom was over the bar/lounge area and subsequently noise from below including boom boom of music (bass far too high) was a little irritating. Nothing. nothing. Nothing. Duvets are too not in overheated rooms, need a light blanket alternative. WIFI access needed in rooms not just public areas. Nothing to dislike. There was nothing we didn't like about our stay. Very small car park. Small car park. Wi-fi connection is non existent. I asked 2 different members of staff how to get access but neither was particularly interested in helping. I finally realised that the problem is just that the signal strength is zero in the bedrooms. Nothing at all. There was nothing we did not like. mattress too soft. The weather!.
