hospitality of the reseptionist. It was close to the town centre, railway station and was cosy. Ideal for travellers.Good breakfast,good beer,helpful and friendly staff. Receptionist was very efficient and courteous, as was the male barperson on the afternoon shift (he even put some beer on ice especially for me).I just needed a stop over - a nights sleep before moving on - it was convenient to airport and railway line into London next morning. The English breakfast was included in the price.It was only ten minutes from the airport. proximity to airport, price. The bar was OK. Nothing because it was just far too difficult to actually get to ourroom.The breakfast was OK. Lack of remote control for the TV,but having feet I could walk to the tvso not really a big deal!. The only thing that was annoying was on my second night they had some very noisy guests who were shouting at 1.30 am and even though the hotel was manned no one seemed to bother about telling them to keep the noise down. Needless to say I only ended up with 4 hours sleep. Reception area and stairs need refurbishment.Bar was closed for refurbishment. But I was served a glass of wine in the dining room although at the time it was closed. The smell, outside noise, no hot water (only warm, not warm enough for shower).As commented. Bad description of location. Noise from the train station. Bar was closed due to refurbishing and no advance notice was given of this, wireless internet signal was not availabe in the room. SHower was very dark. Couldnt find how to reduce the heat. Double glazing window hinge was broken so it would not close properly so the room was quite noisy. Bath had shower but no shower curtain or screen so the water went everywhere! No Wifi in the room/s I was offered. noisy because on the road, broken window, no fridge. I appreciate the hotel is presently having renovations but the decor, carpets etc were very poor. Carpets were filthy even in the passageways. During our stay the hotl was under reconstruction, the workers were alittle noisy. The breakfast serving was clumsy.See above - got them mixed together. The next question needs qualifying- I would not recommend it but the choice of budget hotels in centralLuton is small and I will stay there again despite the above. service was poor due to ignorance of staff, the hotel is located next to the railway line,. Accepting the fact that the hotel is undergoing refurbishment there were a few outstanding points:- 1. Handtowel, though clean, smelt stale (as though put away/stacked damp). 2. The room was not particularly clean. 3.The bar was closed at 23.00 without warning of last orders. The female barperson on the evening shift spent much time talking with her friends ignoring customers. The hotel needs a major refurbishment - I would not stay at the hotel for pleasure.The shower cubicle had brown stains and was very uninviting. The carpets in the common areas and stairs were grubby giving the hotel a generally unhygenic feel. Hotel being renovated.. no bar etc in the evening.Very, very noisy- could hear guests upstairs and next door; noisy plumbing; intrusive noise from trains.The windows were dirty. The maın light in the bedroom did not work. The safe was locked. The toilet seat was loose. The ceiling in the bathroom was badly stained. The room was noisy despite the double glazing, thank goodness we carry earplugs. We were not aware from the description that there was no lift. 1. although they provide free wireless service (which is nice) they do not provide with an on-site computer for those guests who travel without a laptop 2. the room was not cleaned properly after the previous guests left. Close proximity to the railway and busy roads made sleeping very difficult. Cleaning staff were ignorant and rude. TV in the room did not get a good signal and was therefore un-watchable. The hotel is in a poor state of repair generally.Rooms need renovation, dirty carpets, poor, old fashioned decoration throughout. The hotel was centrally located but we arrived in the midst ofrenovation.There was no lift and we had to carry our bags up two floorsto the last but one room that hotel could rent. Room was adequate nomore and the breakfast was the same. Very Noisy, road traffic, trains, banging doors from the bar below. Restaraunt not open for dinner due to refurbishment, which it badly needs. Nice buliding, but very run down. WIFI not working in the room. Why have a bedside lamp with no plug within reach? Poor instructions on shower - potentially dangerous. Room opened during the night? Security?? Hotel car park / reception bad access (raining)!! Hotel improvements taking place, noise and smells of decorations. The bathroom was clean but the rest of the room was very dirty. The room that I was in was nosy and I was woken a few times during the night. Table cloths in the dining room were dirty and cutlery was water stained. Disgusting carpets and to rate as a three star hotel is outrageous. hotel is undergoing refurbishment however the place leaves alot to be desired its dirty and i would not recommend it to anyone. the hotel is under renovation and nobody told us befor. very noisy location. dont go there.
