Everything, it was ecxellent esp view from my room. The staff where very friendly and helpful with everything we required. The hotel staff were extremely helpful. One member of the reception staff in particular (male - did not catch his name) was very helpful and very welcoming.attentivness of all the staff. Bar waiter was brilliant at cocktails and very pleasent. Rooms were lovely and very comfortable.

In the deluxe bathroom it was quite small and you did have to step intothe bath to have a shower. I would recommend staying in the refurbishedrooms 222 and 223 where there is a spacious walk in bathroom.The restaurant for evening dinner didn't live up to my expectations of a restaurant in a 5* hotel. The maitre d gave us attitude when we presented a voucher for discounted dinner that reception had given us earlier that day. The drinks service was very slow. The food was a reasonable standard but not 5* hotel standard and you can eat far better for the same cost by being braver and venturing out. The room was very small and didn't reflect what I had booked, althoughadequate and clean, this was a litttle disappointing. The standard was not we would expect for a 5-star hotel in London. In fact, it omitted quite a number of facilities and offerings we would expect, and have experienced, at other 5-star establisments. Our room wasn't ready until 2 hours after the time we were told we could check in by.1) Residents were not allowed access to the restaurant and bar on the day we arrived as it had been taken over for a film premiere at the odeon Leicester Square. We (eventially) ended up in a corner of a pub somewhere. Not satisfactory 2) Turn down was at circa 17.00 so we were being turned down before we had opportunity to use the facilities!! 3) failure to clean shoes left out as instructed. rooms are old. No biscuits with tea and coffee which I think is really stingy when youconsider the rates. Room very small, dirty, behind the bed could nothave been cleaned for weeks. The hotel appeared drab and lacked colour and fresh flowers. Thereappeared to be a shortage of staff as our room was not serviced afterour return after 6 hours. There seemed to be a language difficulty as on2 occasions we were given the wrong drinks/food. the room was awful! very small room, tiny bathroom, very dark with no natural light and no view. Room was small, very noisy, tv was tiny. By far the worst 5 star hotelwe have ever stayed in. Woken up at 7am by the sound of bottles being smashed outside my roomwindow by the dustbin men. Woken up at 8.10am by Room Service despite ado no disturb sign. Complained to reception immediately. Woken up againby another Room Service woman at 8.20. Complained at reception andinitially weren't going to compensate me, but eventually got 40 poundsoff the price of the room.
