It is very close to Kings Cross and St Pancreas, in a reasonable quiet area. They have a reception room with a working computer, which is free to use, along with lots of information about the area and things to do and places to eat. There is also free wifi in the room. I stayed in a single room with shared bathroom facilities. They were some complimentary toiletries, coffee and a selection of teas and a hot chocolate in the room. all reviews » Your categories don't cover any of my experience: I was with one friend, not a couple, not a group. I was there for business and pleasure, wouldn't have been there without either. You ask for first name or anonymous (they are the same thing!) for a review, I would say my complete name or none. I love the aesthetics of the place, it's cozy and relaxing, people are friendly to each other. Perfect size for privacy or friendliness. Excellent breakfasts. The look is a 40's look, wall paper, painting. There were four of us staying at this hotel our room was down two flights of stairs n the nice young man at reception carried our bags down for us.we only stayed the one night but the room was lovely spotlessly clean too.the breakfast was great too lovely accommodation recommend this hotel n will definitely stay here again central location n value for money.very nice staff too. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. Cooked breakfast is prepared as you like it and additionally you can have toast, cereals and fresh fruit. The room is small (as they are in London in general) and clean, also the shared bathroom was always very clean. Location is very convenient, Underground and Bus stops within short walking distance. Triple room a bit small for 3, but normal by London standards. Although not a problem for us --there is no lift and the stairs are narrow. Anyone with mobility problems could find this difficult. The single room I had was on the top floor with no lift. So, not recommended for those who have trouble climbing narrow staircases (or are coming back late from drinking. ;). The curtains let in too much light. In the summer I can imagine this would disturb sleep quite early in the morning . I didn't realize there was no a/c so it was a little warm even with the windows open. Standard rooms are quite small and the heater was not working in mine, but they quickly moved me to another and upgraded me. Nothing. No lifts only stairs in the building. Breakfast area a little small. Breakfast was a little on the stingy side - one sausage and one piece of bacon. My single bed was short for a tall person as I am over 6`tall.. Also the bacon for breakfast looked as if it had been cooked since early morning,they ran out of sausages on the Sunday morning,shops were nearby so perhaps they could have sourced some there. Everything was fine. wifi signal in room was little too low at times. Breakfast quite small. Rooms are a little tired but that is a minor criticism. Nothing. Remodeled bathroom with tiled walls was slick , but the moisture saturated all within. We hit hot/humid days and basement location was fine, but fan didn't remove humid atmosphere. Narrow stairs to top of building, room rather cramped, but these minor problems are acceptable at the price. Room too warm, outside 14 C, all heating shut. A hot water pipe went trough the room and probably caused the "overheating". Nothing to criticise. Not having a lift. Seemed to be only a single bathroom per floor - a bit thin?. Couldn't fault anything. Felt decor was a little tired. Felt that cooked breakfast could have been of a higher standard, I.E. fresh fruit rather than tinned grapefruit. Nothing. On the times I tried to have a shower but there was no hot water. the room was too hot, tried to turn radiator off but still really hot. the didn't automatically refilled refreshment tray in the room. Nothing to dislike. - good service matched to price.
