What people say
Beautiful grounds and lovely , quaint hotel. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful and our host even more so! He was extremely helpful. Inverness was delightful. Wished we could have spent more time there. They serve what we believe is the best BlackPudding in the world (we always bring some home every time we go to Scotland and it was a shock to find this hotel used the same make),The whole breakfast was a pleasure to eat,. all reviews »
We were greeted at the door on our arrival and the host (michael) made us feel very at home and was always on hand for any queries. The hotel itself was very nice and grande. Good breakfast also!. From a warm welcome to a reluctant departure it was totally excellent.
The food, which your survey does not cover, was outstanding.it was the best experiance in scottland, they resolved all our troubles and gave us all help and informations we needed, thank you. Outstanding ! 'You get what you pay for' does not apply here, you get far more. Will definitely be back.Everything.This Hotel I recommend to everybody. Its clean, friendly, a very good stay. Friendliness and helpfulness of the owner. breakfast excellent peasefull setting. peace and quiet, great food and wine. HOst was very helpful. We liked the interior and exterior of the hotel very much. The rooms were nice, clean and well furnished. Breakfast was excellent, we regret that we couldn't had dinner in the hotel. Seems to me that it would have been excellent too! We also liked the owner, he is very friendly for his guests, a true good host. Pitty we did not had the time to drink a good glass of whiskey with him!. Location was quiet yet accessible to town by taxi; breakfast wasexcellent and prepared quickly to order; dinner by prior arrangement wasalso superb; the hotel host/owner was delightful, engaging, attentive, and went out of his way to be accommodating from rooms to arranging forauto rental delivery and return. Beautiful surrounds and building, very welcoming host and great brekky. Lovely place only 5 minutes drive to town.ideal location to get to city centre, lovely hotel, friendly and helpfull staff. It's position and general ambience.More like a b and b than a hotel. Accommodating staff. The hotel was in a lovely situation with attractive grounds. The small size of the hotel made for a personal service. Breakfast cooked to order. small private individual hotel - good ambiance. location is very quiet. quiet. It's a nice country house hotel, but the price for b and b is too high, and they didn't serve dinner. breakfast and location. Owner very welcoming. Quality of food good. I liked the fact that the hotelier was really committed to doing his best for his guests, though he was a little bit omnipresent. We had a little difficulty finding the hotel, but well worth the troublre. The room was a tad small and the shower tiny but that's Europe, it seems! Just don't drop the soap :-). We both felt that the premises would benefit from some updating, not to modernise but to make the most of the building. Could be made a more upmarket experince, something people are willing to pay for. Didn't serve dinner apart from prior reservation before arrival. I wasexpecting more for the price. I was asked to vacate by 10.30 which isearly for this price bracket. Not really suitable for very tired andbusy business folk, but I liked the hotel and its owner. More suitablefor leisure, I think. Not a brilliant location - would have to take ataxi to see Inverness. Worth the visit, however.checking out at 10am. I disliked the fact that because of its size and availability of services the hotel was really a guest house, and on that basis was poor value for money; I would have expected to pay £20 per night less.attitude of staff standard of rom overpriced.
