The room was extremely comfortable and quiet; the breakfast was excellent and on the night I ate there, the dinner was excellent as well. Friendliness of staff. The location and the quietness. Food excellent. Room clean and spacious.I turned up late but the service i received was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Friendly staff. No broadband internet access. Roms rather dated.Woken by noise from the guest up stairs in the early hours, we were given an up stairs room for second very peaceful and comfortable night. Would have preferred duvet to sheet and blanket. Only dial up internet connection, a bit old fashioned. The shower. The Television was quite antiquated. It was quite hard to get hold of the staff the next morning. Also, I think the price is too expensive. we did not sign anything to say we were there, should there have been a fire. The room smelt of smoke and so they must have allowed smoking hence an ash tray. we could not have anything to eat when we arrived as apparently we hadn't booked dinner. I am not sure that was clear on the booking infoprmation.
