I'm on gluten free diet - had no problems whatsoever. The chef even amended the Valentine's Day menu in the Grill Room. All the staff were exceptionally helpful. The rooftop hyropool was wonderful. - The upgrade to our room was very comfortable and appreciated. The staff were all very helpfull and friendly.

lovely apartment, very homely and well run, good breakfast provided in the aprtment, very helpfull staff, good location, we have a 5 month old boy and we walked to most attractions including the castle, shops nearby including Tesco express for grabbing food for the aprtment but have resturants right on the canal by the aprtment if you prefer. I made several calls prior the trip to ensure that we could get a high chair and cot for our baby and the staff remembered me and were very friendly. - The apartment was fantastic, equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Rooms were comfortable and clean and the kitchen was stocked with basic essentials. Parking was great too. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Would definately use this apartment/hotel complex again.

The room was spacious bright and colourful with lots of lovely added

The 23 Mayfield was a total delight! The staff was amazing - everyone seemed like genuinely nice people and happy to help. The hotel owner even gave us an excellent advice what to do and see further in Scotland and let us leave our car in their not so big car park even thought we stayed for only one night. Ross was a very welcoming and relaxed host. He provided us with some good recommendation for locations to visit whilst in Scotland. Breakfast was a gourmet experience with a great range for vegetarians (i had the Campbell's vegetarian haggis both mornings). Room was tastefully decorated and a good size. We enjoyed a cold beer in the oudoor room, which was just what we needed after a full days travel.

The apartment space was luxurious, comfortable, very well thought out and utilised - with modern open-plan living in mind, balcony with fold back door to seamlessly bring the outside space in, serviced to a high standard daily; friendly and very helpful staff. Very clean, very smart and I would thoroughly recommend. I travelled with my two boys (11 and 12) for the Open at Muirfield and was great for access to Edinburgh Waverley whilst being right next to Calton Hill and 15 mins from Arthur's Seat (bottom not top) for the great views of Edinburgh. -

I`m an Architect, specialized in hotels, been in 29 counties and hundreds of hotels, but haven't seen such amazing design, decor and luxury of fine details in each and every corner of this unique hotel. It`s beyond imagination. Staff were more than excellent. Food was great.
