What people say

The self contained apartment had everything a family with children could need, including gardens to play in (complete with guinea pigs!). The owners clearly paid attention to detail when stocking the apartment with household items etc. The price was exceptionally reasonable. Breakfast was lovely, with plenty of choice. The owner was away so the business was being run by an assistant. To keep it short she did a fantastic job. The building is full of character and the breakfast perfect. I was given a tick sheet the night before to place my breakfast order so I knew exactly what I was getting. Nice touch.
all reviews thr family room was excellent, things in room for children of various ages to play with.lots of choice for breakfast, ideal for fussy kids and cooked at time you required fresh and hot, more than enough. staff very friendly and helpful.would highly recommend to family on A budget. I liked the location as we were going to the Christmas extravaganza at nearby Thursford. The owner was on hand for any assistance and the breakfast was really good with a lot of choice. We stayed with a group of friends and were pleased with our accomodation. I liked the fact that this hotel felt homely and when you are working away alone this helps. The breakfast was lovely lots to choose from great host. will be returning the next time i am working in Norfolk. This is a great central base for Norfolk. The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful. Our daughter fell in love with their dog Max upon arrival and they allowed her to play with him and took the time to show her their guinea pigs too. Thank you for your time:-). Little bits of attention to detail...like the inclusion of toys, games and books in the family room. The décor gave it a real homely feel too. The staff were really friendly/welcoming. Was a lovely stay. Friendliness of the owner. Family room was ideal for us. Took our grandchildren and they enjoyed building the train track and playing with the toys that were in the room. Nice quiet location set in grounds just off the very quiet road that it is on. Close to local shops and attractions. Comfortable room . Very good cooked breakfast. Welcome. Homely.Comfortable bed. Walking distance to town centre. Good location for exploring central Norfolk. Retained Georgan character. Always made to feel welcome when I stay...the staff are excellent! The rooms have a lovely feel about them too...comforting and homely. Good location. Lovely house and well maintained. Steve, the owner was really friendly and ensured we had a good stay. Very close to the local shops. Parking good. Steve, the owner, welcoming and friendly. Max the dog also friendly !. Nice clean and full of charm.. Great host and a lovely breakfast. Good private parking. quite but right in town. Great house. The owner is very helpful and friendly. The house is an old Victorian place with loads of character. owner very pleasant and helpful, location good for our needs, food excellant, the appartment very comfortable. Good location. Good parking. Free WIFI Comfy bed Very friendly Good tea making in room Good breakfast Quiet. I liked how the house was decorated was very nice and the staff we exelant and the breakfast was yummy . It has a very 'homely' feel about it, yet you still feel like you are being treated. Homely, clean comfortable room. Really good breakfast. Proprietor was very friendly. Very accommodating Bright airy rooms Lots of space Excellent breakfast. Friendly people. Good location for Mid Norfolk Railway. Bathrobe. Rooms very clean, comfortable with excellent facilities. the owners were very helpful.very relaxing and quiet. Very Helpfull with changes that we required. Convenient parking Comfortable bed Relaxed. Excellent, friendly, accommodating host. Clean and comfi room, great breakfast. Very friendly, value great breakfast. Warm welcome although late arriving. convenient and comfortable. large room size breakfast. close to town centre. Size of room was good. Steve was very welcoming and cooked a good breakfast. I liked the coffee and tea facilities in the room and the bed was comfortable. The home from home ambience, location to Dereham town centre excellent and the owner, Steve, a pleasure to meet. Nice touches eg pictures ,orniments, good quality bed linen. Unfortunately, while the children were playing on the trampoline and running around outside, we found several pieces of broken glass in the grass, but aside from this and the fact that a lack of blackout blinds meant a 5.30 start for our 3yr old, the b&b was wonderful. There was nothing to dislike. not much hanging space. I was glad that we were booked into the double rooms as the apartments although clean well decorated etc.. were set out in an odd way. okay for a night but difficult if staying longer. probably alright for families. Having a toddler the use of a stair gate would have been useful as the stairs were quite steep in our 1st floor accommodation and they happened to be between the two bedrooms. No really a negative but it may not appeal to some is the shared bathroom. A sink is in the room. For me it wasnt too much of a problem. Shared bathroom is never going to be a favourite but it is well supplied and kept very clean to be fair!. nothing. Nothing at all. Room was not ensuite but we did know that in advance. nothing we didnt like, will reccomend anytime. The shower in the separate bathroom was the in-the-bath type, which I don't like. We had to share a bathroom. The shared bathroom isn't the greatest but to be fair, it is kept clean and well stocked with a selection of toiletries for guests to use. A small wardrobe and a sink would be beneficial. Curtains did not block out early morning sun!!! Could do with blinds!!!. Very ordinary breakfast - scrambled eggs cooked months in advance. Not en suite. slippers too small. No single rooms. No dislikes. Only one Chair in the Bedroom. Own bathroom. having to make my own toast!. shared bathroom. Absence of an ennsuite in my room. Whilst our room was clean, the first impressions of the entrance hall did not fill me with hope. It was untidy and looked like it could do with a good vacuuming. I think the place is a work in progress so I think it will be better in future. Could have been a little cleaner and wasn't happy about a shared bathroom. all deco walls, doors skirting boards looked like student acom modation all bit well worn. Kitchen floor dirty.
