Lovely hotel, although a short stay my daughter and I felt very at home! Clean, very well presented place to stay! Jill and Paul (who run it) were very friendly and even rung me to see if things were ok as it took me 7 hours to do a 3 hour journey due to an accident on the m25 . Breakfast provided was lovely and more than enough.
When we pulled into the car park the owner came and collected our bags and once checked in took them to our room. The room was larger than I thought and were very bright and nicely decorated. The double bed was of a good size and very comfortable. The breakfast was nicely done and plenty of extra drinks if required.all reviews »
Friendly staff, owners could not do enough - rooms are kept very clean, showers are great. We stayed in room 1 which has a view of the pier and the sea.

The Sandrock was a lovely place to stay and would recommend it without any hesitation, the rooms are comfortable and the owners and staff could not do enough for us. We hope to go back again soon .

Disliked is too harsh a word but : 1) Breakfast would appreciate self-service to fruit/fruit juices/cereals. 2)Our adult son was allocated an inside room, no window or natural light to the bedroom (window in ensuite). OK for short 3night break (as ours was) but if planned a long stay that room could be oppressive.

I was lucky managed to park actually at the Sandrock, but if no room rather inconvenient now as Penfold Road has 2 hour parking limit which obviously the Sandrock has no control over...
Room could do with updating. There is a tired look about the place.

Seagulls woke me up !!.
A sudden outburst by the owner when asked for warm milk for my 2 year
old. He was shouting to tell me 'no we can't allow warm milk to
be taken to the room'.

the telly in room 3 was so small u needed to strain your eyes to see it.
The bed was very saggy, so I didn't get much sleep.
The room was very small for 2 adults and the shower room was very cramped. The TV screen was smaller than my laptop!.
We were in attic room which is cramped. Hairdryer lead too short and shower is pathetic.
Bedroom was a bit cramped for what we paid.
