The hotel was absolutely lovely and so clean and comfortable. The owners were delightful and constantly going out of their way to help us. The breakfast was delicious and hot every morning of our stay, and when we woke up on easter morning, myself and my partner were greeted at the breakfast table with an easter egg! Wonderful and homely!! Even after I was silly enough to leave my favourite boots and Jumper at the hotel, I was contacted and oftered the service of the return of my items! Wonderf.
all reviews » Lovely family run Hotel. Clean, relaxed full English breakfast every day. The owner knew everybody by first name....lovely touch. Room hovered daily and clean towels. Child friendly! Nothing was too much trouble. Lovely talk with the Lady of the house....who recommended so points of interest to visit. Highly recommend and the location was at the centre of everything. I will definitely love to book again. Thank you. For the price I paid, the value for money could not have been better. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.While the shower in my bathroom could have had higher pressure, I'm certainly not going to complain about it. Considering that the price included a full English breakfast the next morning, I am completely happy with everything for what I paid. The owner Gerry could not have been more pleasant and helpful. The place was nice and clean, the room spacious, the bed comfortable, the full English breakfast excellent and the hotel situated close to the beach, pier etc. ( a one minute walk). Would stay here again without any hesitation. And to top it all the weather was great. Very friendly welcome. Huge room which was spotlessly clean. Nice bathroom with fluffy towels and powerful shower. Very central for all facilities. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice, served hot and cooked to your requests. The staff were very friendly. everything. That we had to leave!. Car parking was available nearby but parking on the front was incredibly tight. No lift, so may be troublesome for guests who may struggle with stairs. Was a little tired and would benefit from an attack with a feather duster in those hard to get places (lampshades, picture frames etc.). Parking on site is difficult with only three tight spaces, nearest overnight pay and display is one hundred metres away. I think most guests would appreciate a separate knife ( for butter etc) placed with the side plate. Completely satisfied. I intend to stay again. I come to clacton 2-3 times per year. noisy seaguls and not car friendly. Can't think of anything. Nothing. narrow stairs. Nothing. parking limited, but can park in close proximity. Lack of parking facilities, and shower in single room is a bit hit and miss. Nothing!. Breakfast could be better. nothing.
