Sam on reception provided a friendly and very relevant and succinct introduction to the hotel. She very helpfully explained what we needed to know - with supporting pieces of paper for us to take away with us - and provided recommendations which turned out to be spot on. all reviews » The swimming pool was great in the hot weather - it's not large but you can have a good swim all the same. Breakfast was really tasty and fresh, and the staff were friendly. The beds were comfortable and the room (I was in a twin)was nicely designed and roomy enough. Robes were provided which was great for using the swimming pool. The gardens were nice too. Not bad review, just suggestion: A retractable clothes line over bath for drying swim suits would be great addition A mini fridge would be convenient in family room (enough to store cool drinks/ toddler snack). This is only a comment, not a criticism: We believe that it would be in the hotel's interest to give some of the younger staff members some bar training. When asked for drinks, they did their best but it was obvious that some training would be advantagous. Parking is very tight if the Hotel is full.Some road noise at busy times, ask fr a room at he back if you can. A very small thing.... I would have liked a peppermint tea bag amongst the selection of tea bags. Otherwise no dislikes at all, it was an excellent venue for our requirements. Nothing. The bar area was basic and uninviting. Room was a bit too hot and the radiator control didn't seem to be working. Cooked breakfast on first day was overcooked, better 2nd day. that there was no notice that the hotel had to be paid for at the end of your stay. believe this was paid for when booking as card details and room booking confirmation was sent. Was risky as if I didn't have money in my account would have been interesting what would have happened. Nothing, really.
