We liked the location of the hotel. It was easily accessible from the tram and close to shops and other amenities. Even though they were in the middle of renovation, we were given a ground floor room, and not inconvenienced. Been to this hotel before, and will definatley use again. Excellent staff & good facilities. Superb value for money!!.

Very tired & worn decor, curtains hanging off window, crack in sink and toilet, horrible damp marks on ceiling, filthy remote for tv. Couldn't (or wouldn't) have shower because of mould, I could go on! It really is a shame as the staff were very nice but but we do have to be honest with review. Attitude of the landlord was very abrupt and unhelpful, couldn't wait to get us out of breakfast , extremely rude!!! Room was very tired and dated, toilet didn't work, or hair dryer wardrobe was falling apart !! Bunk bed was held together with nails, not good for kids !!!. the room was very dirty with cob webs dust and mauld on window sills and in bathroom three bugs were found in double bed in all not a very nice hotel. The room was too hot , scruffy decor and there was some outstanding diy jobs that needed doing eg picture had fallen off wall and was standing in corner , trunking to hide electrical cable also left in corner , broken towel rail left on wall , dresser was unusable because of broken drawer the room door could be pushed open you didn't need a key for it . The dust on the blinds was choking . Booked a twin room months ago and was offered a very small double, with narrow bed hard against an outside wall, so my husband (aged 79) had to climb over me to get out during the night. No soap provided. Toast in the morning was extremely stale. No marmalade provided. Parking was non-existent, (if space was available had to leave keys with owner?) It is cheap but not that much cheaper than the alternatives so even at there prices avoid this hotel at all cost's. the hotel was dirty old fashioned dingy just the worse ive ever stayed, the toilet in the room was stinking of wee shower was mouldy, there was a leak coming from the shower above into the lights in are room, the little milk containers were off plus the carpet wasnt down proper so got stuck in the door when we tried to get back in, it was the worse place ive ever stayed. Rude hotel manager. Filthy room. Broken travel cot for baby. Dirty toilets. Wallpaper falling off. The room was filthy there was so much mold in the shower room and the bunk beds were patched up and missing lats they gave us a double bed base with a small double mattress a couple that came with us had tiles missing out of the roof and tiles falling off the wall in the shower , wall paper was falling off and there was a foul smell in the room . The facilities in the room were not working ie tv and taps the decor was stuck in a time warp and painted all Mis match none of the wallpaper light shades and pictures were even hung straight! Although budget friendly If we all paid an extra £5/10 we would've had a more comfortable stay elsewhere. Rooms was not clean,To small,Not going there again. Everything. everything. everything .. room dirty , small , smelly , mattress on bed was so thin and worn , all in all the worst bb ive ever stayed in. It was dirty there was mold in the room the borader was mess the fan in the bath room was full of crap plus no soap bear wires in the room. Hotel was disgusting. There was no one around 2 complain to it was dirty and had a smell in the room kettle was cracked cups were dirty no way we could have a drink as there was no milk in the room hairs in the bad we had to sleep with a towel over our pillows overall it was disgusting I know it was only 60 pounds but you do expect it to be clean whoever cleans there rooms should be sacked.
