  The welcome was superb, complimentary drinks mini bar and chocolate bar. I know it doesn't sound like much but those little touches really do make a stay more memorable. The staff were very helpful and the iPad they give you on check in was a superb addition. Able to look things up, stream music and videos to the tv and even order room service wit... what people say » h it. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice, and of course my favourite pain au chocolates a plenty. Full size ones too! Location is great, The po - This is without a doubt one of the coolest hotels I have ever stayed in. The staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. The atmosphere is efficient but laid back . The hotel had everything we needed. The pool was fantastic and the fitness facilities although not extensive were adequate. The room was well equipped and a good size (we stayed in a superior room). The bed was really comfortable. We didn't have dinner in the restaurant but the breakfast was really tasty with good choices

  Was upgraded from executive double to executive suite on arrival which was a nice surprise. The decoration and facilities in the room were superb, one of the best rooms that I have ever stayed in. When booking the hotel I was expecting a very staid environement and was pleasantly suprised by the contemporary feel to the hotel. - Staff were exceptio... what people say » nal.   Staff (especially reception) were helpful and friendly. Room, although small, was well appointed and beds very comfortable. Good hot showers. Great location in Exeter. And a better rate than other, most defiitely inferior, hotels and BandB's in the area. - My wife by chance met Michael Caines, who was so polite--we love his food.Have to say the hot... what people say » el was out of our price bracket, but my wife needed spoiling!   Firstly, the location: ideal for the city centre and Exeter Central railway station (literally next door), bus station, the quay area (by the river - 7/8 min. walk) and Exeter St.Davids (15 min walk). In a side street, off the High Street, so quite quiet and noise wasn't a problem even at the weekends and being above a pub. Rooms have a different look - were modern, clean, elegant and spacious (incl. bathrooms), comfy bed, tea/cof - Excellent staff, friendly helpful arrival, even though we arrived late in the evening as we had advised, and that approach continued next day morning. Rooms were fine, and bathroom facilities good especially bearing in mind usual British plumbing standards. Location very close to high street shopping and easy to get to main rail station although a hit far with suitcases, but okay with a backpack. Easy taxi ride. Good pub atmosphere on ground floor
