Before I start I have to explain that if you search for a hotel in Fatih do not expect to find much hotels with its own territory, there is a shortage of space everywhere - streets are narrow, in some of them there is no sidewalk even, almost all "hotels" are very small and have 5-7 rooms inside or even less. Stanpoli is one of such hotels, however the owners/managers did their best to use the space the most effective way. Everything inside is new, rooms are cleaned and towels are changed every.

I appreciated very much the fact that they gaved us the possibility for a late breakfast, that is a big plus for us ! The rooms have a modern design and they are really nice. If you choose this hotel you don't have to worry about any touristic info, because the staff will be there to help you. I would definitely choose again this hotel when we . perfect hotel! It's a new decorated hotel and everything is good and new. Room is tiny just like every hotel in the old city but is well-designed so there is enough space to put luggages. The manager who looks like Kevin Spacey is very helpful and hospitality. We had a great time in the hotel just like being at home. The hotel would have the terrace breakfast just a week after we left. I recommand this hotel very much and definitely will live in here again when I come back to Istanbul. What makes this hotel truly special is it's staff - everyone of them. Very attentive, very friendly. I felt like home. Good english for everyone, heard the guys speak german and the lady spoke well russian. I arrived from a tiresome day at the city, stayed on the street talking with the brothers. One of them just brought you a beer from nearby shop - free, on the house. They know how to make you feel welcomed!. The location, the staff friendliness ( thanks Mr.Ekdur ) The hotel's location is a big plus since it is located 1 block behind the main road into Sultanahmet making it very quiet. Mr. Ekdur told me everything I need to know about the area, what area to cover in my 3 days stay there. It was a great trip. I said about it to the reception and they promised to fix it. If they've done so before you find it, I think you will get the room according to your expactations. Nothing. The breakfast is poor but typical Turkish except the tea :(. There is an underground sewage problem (not the hotel's fault) that is going to be dealt with but caused our room to have a certain odor sometimes. Also, if you aren't familiar with the Call to Prayer, note that the two main mosques are incredibly close and the Call is done 5 times a day and is loud in this area. Just remember that!. I found many hair on the pillow and the blanket. nothing. The only negative thing was that the breakfast was poor and every day the same. We want to be a coffee machine in the hall at breakfast. Nothing. Non smoking rooms :). Basement room is a bit noisy but no problem with earplugs. - roof terrace under construction (on the next visit we are looking forward to having breakfast on the terrace). nothing. rooms are tiny. The breakfast could have included more selection of food. sound proofing of the room was bad. we could hear people coming up and down the stairs and on one night, we could hear our neighbours quarrelling!. Basic breakfast. My room wasn't ready one hour after official check-in time, because previous quests stayed longer, but very friendly gentleman from reception suggested restaurant close to hotel where I could have lunch while waiting room prepared. When I arrived from restaurant my room was ready and luggages already in the room. No english language channels in TV.
