Baha was very helpful and on hand to answer any questions and to help us make reservations at local restaurants. It's a really good price and the location is very good as it's about 10-15 minutes walk from bus drop off point from the airport at Taksim. It's also close to the metro and main shopping street. It's quite hilly with rocky paths so don't bring a 4 wheel suitcase - a backpack or a 2 wheeler is best. We had the room on the top floor which was spacious and had 2 beds, couch, mini fridg.
all reviews » The manager Baha is really friendly and helpful. He gave me advice of where to go and how to get there and even took me to the shop to buy my Istanbulkart. He also phoned Turkish Airways for me to change my flight. He will also make himself available for check in 24/7 so long as you give him an approximate time (I arrived after 1.00am). The hotel is brand new and the rooms are spacious and stylish - the best shower I had in Turkey, double sized cubicle and powerful. It is also in a very conveni. I stayed 4 days at Otto Suite with a friend! The staff is so great and always ready to give you informations! The room was very beautiful and spacious. It's so close to Taksim Square (3 minutes walking) where you can take local transports and the İstiklal Caddesi (the shopping street). It's a new hotel so in the future will be much better (they will serve breakfast too). When I'll back to Istanbul, I'll surely book this hotel!. Certainly the location is one of the advantages, close to Taksim Square and communication with most places that you can reach is the ideal one. But I want to give very high marks to the staff there. My room was always extremely clean, tidy, Baja is the best guide for Istanbul that anyone could want. Great place, I recommend it strongly. The rooms are facing to the street, and even if not a busy one, it was enough to wake you up during the late party hours when people walk home. We had the room in the ground floor. No soundproof inside the building, could hear the people upstairs talking. The curtains looked nice but were so thin it compromised privacy. The room had a ugly smell of toilet, something wrong with the sewage. Steep walk downhill to hotel, would have been hard to get suitcase back up hill but staff are always happy to help.
