We had a wonderful stay in Mitra cave. I appreciated everything arranged from the staff, they had gave us the best recommended at all tours and best restaurant suggestion in town, they were also arranged us transport to pick us to the hotel when arrived and to the bus station when we leave. The very friendly staff yuksel always sent us to town and the restaurant we wanted to go. Mitra Cave have very nice cave room and in good location. Closed to everywhere. I enjoy having breakfast every mornin.
all reviews » We spent 9 days at the Mithra Cave while giving ourselves lots of time to explore magical Cappadocia, and it was the ideal choice. Because we were staying so long, they upgraded us to a 2-level suite--too much room for the two of us, but a big beautiful space with a great view out over Goreme. We especially enjoyed waking up every morning to the balloons floating over the town and the valleys beyond. It was comfortable, clean and very quiet (except for the call to prayer much too early in the m. The Mithra Cave is perfectly situated, with outstanding views of Goreme and the surrounding landscape from multiple terraces (great places to watch the sunset with a BYO bottle of wine!)...and yet only a 3 min walk from the town center with plenty of restaurants, shopping and tour agencies. The staff is excellent, very friendly (yet not intrusive) and are quick to respond to requests. They helped us get a very affordable car rental ($65 for the day) and gave us some good insights when choosin. Excellent view and location. We arrived at noon and Yusuf and his staff were very attentive and took care of everything we could need. They picked us up at Göreme bus drop off with a car, that took us on a 5 min trip to Mithra Cave. Our room was upgraded for free and everything you would expect on a top star hotel was there. The bathroom was huge, even with a yacuzzi. Also, we were very hungry…they recommended us some excellent restaurants and kindly sent us a complementary tea and pastry to th. 1. A pick-up service is accessed from Kayseri airport to Goreme by 10TL/person, which is much more convenient than taking a bus. 2. The location is on the top which is wonderful to overview the whole Goreme everyday. 3. All the staffs are kindly and helpful. We booked air balloon and green tour from the reception. They made us a moring call and reply us all the questions patiently. 4. The breakfast tastes good. You can have a wild view of the magic air balloon hanging in the atmasphere in the m. My family and I stayed at the Mithra Caves for 2 nights. The family suite was gorgeous (as is the hotel). The beds were super comfortable. The sunrise views of the hot air ballons were stunning even from the windows of our suite. On a more personal note, Maureen arranged for a birthday cake to be purchased for my partner then learned where we were having dinner and had the cake delivered to the restaurant for an amazing birthday surprise. We also had a toddler and teenager in tow. The staff arr. I stayed in room 31 which was in another buiding. It wasn't a cave room but it was great nevertheless. The room is next to the road so in the morning there may be traffic, I didn't mind because I was up early anyway. In addition it had a fantastic view of the rose valley and in the morning the ballons passby right in front of the window. It has its own terrace with rock chair and coffee table, perfect for reading and have a sip of tea/coffee and watch the sunset after a hard day of walking. Sta. This is one of the best hotel I've ever stayed. The staffs were very friendly and helpful, we arrived at the Goreme bus station in the early morning, the hotel came to pick us up and then arranged us a very lovely room with excellent view (actually every room has an excellent view), the staff drove us around the area, and advised very nice restaurants and shops. The room is very clean with special disign, nice food for breakfast. But what I appreciate most is the friendly personnel! When we arrive at 7 o'clock in the morning after a long night-bus journey, they came to pick us up at the bus station,let us check-in immediately and offered us the breakfast. Everytime when we need help or information they are always there with a lot of patience and smile!!! Another point + for this hotel, there's a ni. We loved the position of the Hotel down the hill to the village 5 minutes walk and a wonderful view from the terrace and dining room. So central to eat out and shop/ get to the bus station. We watched the balloons go down the valley in the morning from the terrace an excellent spot for a photo. A tastefully decorated hotel with antiques everywhere. We were delighted with the cave aspect of the Hotel. The breakfasts were good also. We would return there. Pretty good location with merely 5minute walk to tje Goreme Bus Station. Friendly staff and they are ready to help you anytime. The cafeterian is worth mentioning that has a superb voew of the Cappadocia terrane. If it opens earlier for example 6 am, you will have a splendid view of the balloon flying just over your head. By the way, the food is great and interior decoration exceeds my expectation. I cannot say anything bad about this hotel. The room was clean, cozy and fancy. The view from the breakfast room was really fantastic. The staffs were really kind and especially the one ,who always helps us even though he cannot speak English very well, gave us really good impression about this hotel and Turkey. I will definitely chhose this hotel again if I go back to Cappadocia. Staff were absolutely superb. They took wonderful care of us. Rooms were beautiful. Breakfast seemed mediocre at first but then we realized you could order eggs. I recommend the sucuk omelette! One of the staff made us homemade ayran as well and when we came home with a bottle of wine for the terrace we were surprised with a plate of cheese and nuts!. Our room had the most fantastic view, number 21. Make sure you get up at dawn to see the balloons going by. Every room an outdoor area with outdoor chairs - there's lot of terraces everywhere for you to sit. The hotel was perfectly located - at the top of the hill so with the best views over Goreme but only a 5min walk up from the centre of town. The localtion is perfect, probably the best location in Goreme. My friends and I all loved the rooftop restauarant cos the view is amazing. Staff are very very helpful and friendly, they helped arrange the airport transfer, day tour, balloon flight, meals..etc, I would recommend it to everyone who is travelling to Goreme. Everything! People, Location, Breakfast, friendliness, room, cleanliness, view from the hotel, ... Everything was great. Shower was leaking, not major deal for me but the owner may want to watch their water bills. For breakfast, they may include special pastries like borek, cake... Things that are warm. (just a suggestion, actually we were happy with everything there...). Unfortunately the restaurant was closed in the evening however there were plenty nearby. The slope up to the hotel from the road was steep and there were steps all round the hotel so not suitable for those who cannot do more than three steps. Couldn't be better. The water was not as hot as I would've liked, so I didn't end up using the jacuzzi tub. Otherwise would be a 10. The room needed more lights. the only think is the wifi connection is very weak, we could hardly get any signal in our room, but I can understand cos all the rooms are built in the cave, I guess it's difficult to stronge signal. Probably the only thing is that it is located a little far and uphill from the town center (about 15-20 minutes walk). They provide shuttle service but they charge 10 Euro per person each ride, which is expensive (10 Euro per person will take you from hotel to the airport which is 45 minutes away by car). We would liked to have had a dresser or chest of drawers in the room to store our clothes instead of using our luggage. the only draw back is the climb to and fro from the town center but I was already aware of so wasnt that much of a hassle. Wifi is difficult to get inside the cave room(which is understandable) but right outside our room by the seating area wifi was available with great speed. Avoid the rooms that don't have a terrace or are closer to the ground floor as they are hotter than the rest but other than that all good. We LOVED everything about it!. The "Turkish Night" recommended by the hotel was disastrous. It was a group of unprofessional people dancing with unhappy faces and extremely loud music. The food was disgusting and the staff in that restaurant was extremely unfriendly. We do not understand why the hotel would like to earn commission regardless of this disastrous performance to their hotel guests. Please if you are looking for culture and good experience for your holidays. It should expand its food service to serve dinner similarly to Sultan caves with Seten restaurant. We made a shuttle reservation from the airport to the hotel with the hotel. But they forgot to pick us up. Breakfast was not good. They could serve more international food. We had problems with the shower. No air condition in the room. Very little parking - but having a car is not required to get around. I Got one Suite which can be described as a real cave with little air inside, but can be overcomed with a fan.
