Front Desk staff very courteous Our Check-in & Check-out handled swiftly On 11.12.2013, our 25th Wedding Anniversary the hotel provided us Solarum, the terrace sit out which was an excellent evening setting to remember for ever . Thank You Mercure Phuket Deevana !. Staff we're very pleasant and helpful. Room was very spacious and cleaned daily to a high standard. The breakfast catered for all with a large variety and the wifi was very quick. It was also ideally located only minutes from the shops, restaurants and beach.

The drain which runs behind the hotel which greeted us each time we came out of our room numbers 455 & 456. Nothing regarding the hotel but Phuket itself is very dirty and dangerous. Can't fault it. nothing all good. Nothing to dislike. Buffet breakfast dishes could have been warmer, however omlettes were made fresh to order and were great. Don't bother with coffee. Go to black kanyon around the corner for a decent coffee. We didn't like the fact that everyday we had to call housekeeping for coffee and towels. No Halal food was available for Muslims. The restaurants. Hotel needs to be renovated, it looked "tired". Not much of a variety of food at breakfast, especially the fruit platter had only 3 varieties each morning. Noisy guests in the wide corridors, it really echo's but I guess they are there for a good time as well. In all honesty for the money we paid there isn't much to complain. Pls don't look all the asians as the chinese. Some staffs treated us like a Chinese. They didn't know how to smile or just because we look like Chinese. The breakfast buffet is basic. The view - city view - from my room was poor. The balcony didn't overlook the main street. It overlooked a side street which didn't look nice. My room no. was 502. The hygiene was very poor. I spotted 2/ 3 cockroaches in different places at the hotel. I remember I spotted one in the hotel reception. I also spotted a rat - not a mouse - under the ice cream fridge in the hotel reception. Water flows out of shower areas makes bathroom wet and sticky. Ground floor suite was very noisy at night and lacked privacy altogether. Stayed last year on 3rd floor and was much more private. The moon bar was always closed would have loved tobhave gone their for a drink you hqve great views... Our room smelt really damp made me feel a little sick... 1.too noisy in midnight.disco music flying around fr.late night till dawn. 2.a lot of blood lovers flying around and hunting for food-me. people on reception are very rude. the same menu for breakfast. the beds on the ground floor were too hard. The meal that provided is not halal and cannot be eat by muslim traveller. I was at the checkin counter for an hour, checking in 2 rooms. Prebooked an extra bed, which was not there when we finally get to the room. And it was true that some of the staff treated the fair-skinned much better than us, the yellow-skinned. Poor in English Communication. Cleanliness of the room; even after complaining the room-maid didn't respond & everyday there were many missing in the amenities. Smoking is not allowed in the swimming pool earea. Restaurant staff was not friendly. think the wall is bit thin, or the Russians and mainland Chinese speaks really really loud! Food is bit disappointing. Poor breakfast and the hotel is very busy with a lot of young 'party' people. The first night was very noice , the rest of the nights waer much better. The Wifi didn't work in the room, we had to go out into the hallway in order for us to get a signal. We mentioned this to the hotel and apologised, but nothing changed. The pool bar could use a bit of background music, and happier bar staff. There wasn't that much of an atmosphere to keep you there during happy hour. No stand by generators,cleaning is not proper ,supplements not enough such as soap complementary water bottles ,one of the receptionest who has acne in his face. WiFi so bad , old towel ,. the toilet was bad, the shower is not working, the pool closes at 9pm open 7 am, staff was really bad. when checked-in i have the option to pay at check out but i paid full. the didn't refund my money for early check-out. The cleaniness of the room floor. It was sticky and have hair lying around. The bed have a bad smell, i believed its from the bed sheets.
