  The hotel is very quaint and is located perfectly near main train station and old city. If you are looking for a conventional hotel and all it's amenities then Helvetia not for you. This is a boutique hotel and our room was the apartment, was great, and spacious. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The restaurant there is excellent... what people say » , breakfast lunch and dinner - Location was great, right outside downtown. Excellent roof top patio, and lovely restaurant. Darling rooms, with great decor, and reasonable price for Switzerland.

  The Apartment was very nicely maintained, very comfortable 03 Tram station (Tram 11 & 14) from the Main Zurich station. Very Nice connectivity and Good Homely environment. - The roo was spotless, check-in and chec-out fast. The frondesk staff kindly arranged a early check in for us. Everything was just perfect

  Everything! It is a fab little hotel, I would highly reccommend it. Especially the junior suite. It is perfect for romantic breaks! The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. It is spotlessly clean. Just a shame it is in such a boring city..!! - The hotel is very neat and modern, situated at the city center.   Everything about California House is excellent: The management and staff are extremely helpful, efficient and friendly. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and equipped with all modern amenities. Use of the high-speed internet computer and satellite TV (included in the price), is a unique feature. Situated perfectly (7 mins on tram to the Hauptbahnhof (sp?) main station) and within 200 metres of a supermarket. Kitchenette was perfect for cooking breakfast/lunch so as to avoid very expensive meals out too often. Bathroom spotless with very good shower and fantastic, new whirlpool bath which fit two people no problem.

  Everything! I travel quite often and this is a gem! Room was small, but very clean, well organized, super comfy bed/pillows, nice bathroom with shower - and sparkling clean, and small balcony (would be nice in the summer). Staff were also very friendly & helpful! Is right near the 8/3 trams, the 3 takes you straight to the main train station -... what people say » and in the city center with the 8 in about 10 mins. Well known bakery right next door & another restaurant down the street. Kitchens on every flo - Very clean and comfortable, close to the town centre and the staff were always friendly and helpful. My room was bigger than expected and I was the only person using the shared bathroom on my floor. I liked that a generous breakfast was included in the (already very reasonable) price and that there was a computer with internet access on the ground floor for guest use. Felt both sleek and intimate which is hard balance to get right. Having visited Zurich before and only ever stayed in the centre it was great to get to know the 4th. All in all a great place for a city break. - A very nice, modern and comfortable hotel in the quartel, where ordinary people are living, away from the tourist zones. Some restaurants (italian, chinese...) within the walking distance, also a nice hammam open till 11 p.m. Good public communication, even if you have to walk a little bit, by bus to the main railway station, by tram to the centre and by s-bahn to the airport. Very modern design of the rooms, quiet location (the back building) and the tree forest from the back.

  The staff was very helpful and friendly. The lady who checked me in at 11.30 pm in the night was a wonderful person. In spite of the late check-in, she very proficiently showed me around all the facilities, answered all my queries. I was extremely impressed. The location is very convenient to reach from Zurich Main Station (Tram 4) and from Zur... what people say » ich Airport (train to Zurich Main and then the tram). All the kitchen facilities were working and were new and clean. I will like stay here again. - As a frequent business traveler, I am always looking for comfort place with a good shower place and a comfort bed. Ema is a plus for good location and close to the lake as well as train station. I was not familiar with the tram but google map is helpful with the route. Tram 4 and 2 are very frequent reaching this place. Also the staffs are very friendly and provide all needed information. I will definitely come back again.
