Luzern is a beautiful city and we enjoyed our time there. We had a good sized room and the staff were very helpful. Parking is underneath the hotel. It was a better than the average Ibis. The train station is only a 7 min walk from the hotel and it takes only 4 min to get into Luzern. The hotel is only a short drive from the Mt Pilatus cable car.

Very clean and comfortable. This hotel is 7 mins walk (in the direction to a car showroom, a large white tent) from Kriens Mattenhof train station, just one stop from Lucerne central station. Mount Pilatus is very near, you can reach by a bus to the funicular point of mt. Pilatus. It is 10 min drive from Luzern centre and from Pilatus mountain. Rooms are modern, everything working fine. There is an underground car park. Breakfast is standart. Quite during the night, comfortable bed and pillow - qood quality of sleep. Everything was good except the location a bit inside. The rooms are spacious and very clean with beutiful mountain view. The brakfast was very nice with plenty of options. The staff is friendly. Overall woth for money. The room was nicely decorated, clean and very comfortable. Location was not in Luzern itself but in Kriens, just 10 min from the main train station. The staff members were always kind and willing to help. Room in which we are staying is spaceious and comfortable. Hotel staff is too friendly and in helping nature. One thing sure, next time whenever we visit to Luzern, would like to stay in same hotel. I like to stay on this hotel. Room is quite big. Highly recommended if you do not want to pay expensive hotel in the luzern city. I used a car to go to lake luzern, mount titlis and zurich. There was plenty of space in the two rooms we had, clean and in good condition. Breakfast was quite OK and parking was convenient in the carpark under the Hotel. lovely view outside. Room is spacoíous. It was standard Ibis. Just like other Ibis hotels except the internet connectivity. It was a beautiful city and our trip up Mt. Pilatus was well worth it. The room size was big. Nothing. A little far out from Luzern but that's reflected in the price. The area is semi-industrial so there are few restaurants in the area although the Ibis has a limited menu at reasonable prices. Its better to have breakfast in the room price. A bit far from train station but everything good :). Even we didn't take it, the cost of breakfast seemed too high. None. At this price breakfast was very depressing ! Should have been much much better. no green tea either :(. No supermarket and limited restaurants nearby. Nothing. The absence of places to eat: only a hamburger restaurant and a (prob.) expensive restaurant, where we saw no guest at all and no menu at the outside. The poor insulation of the rooms. very poor facilities - no water cattle provided (for hot water they are charging 1.50 CHF), no security lockers, no drawers No AC (during summer it will be too hot. No Microwave for guests to use. no free breakfast co free coffee in the rooms no fee wifi in the rooms. Breakfast too expensive!. Rooms had no A/c and any other facilities. No cupboard, no locker etc. Location was little far from main Lucerne and hence you have to wait for train or bus to reach there. Breakfast - expensive No variety - boring menu. The beds were not very comfortable, did not get a good sleep at night. Was not impressed with the smoke smell when you go outside the hotel. Only one (staff) person at the reception. Breakfast was not good. No variety. The corridor looks more like a student dorm than a hotel lots of doors in the first glance. The walls were thin so we could hear noises from the neighboring rooms. The access without a car might be difficult from the city. The hotel is located in Industrial area during we stayed for 2 nights over weekend, we found very difficulty to find eatery except one expensive fine dinning restaurant near the hotel Breakfast in hotel is expensive one need to buy breakfast from petrol kiosk. This hotel was part of an office building and was (1) difficult to find and (2) extremely difficult to get to the rooms since it occupied the 3rd floor of the building--had to use a separate elevator, etc. Too far from Luzern, a little remote. 1. The room was hot! There was no air conditioning / Fan / Cooler. Keeping the windows open didn't help too. 2. It is not easy to reach later in the evening. There is a Train station a few minutes away but trains are not as frequent as you would like. noise from others next door and hallway traffic early in morning. long walk in the dark for bus or metro. nothing local to see or do. No facilities in room like tea kettle - No place in the hotel to have food. nearby places are far away. Extra charges for parking and breakfast. Breaskfast is poor Very noise neighboor who arrived at 04:00 am and was very noise until 07:30 am. Imagine doing what. Location fram from downtown, but it is easy to take a bus. The location is not so good as it is far from Luzern City ,and Is quite difficult to look for the hotel location at first . Suggest to save a map or print out map if you taking train. Nearest train station is Krien Matterhof. away from city centre Hidden costs poor system of deducting reservation money separately and actual separately. Room didn't have any Air conditioning. Small and soft pillows, free hot water. Not much eat outs near by. No frequent bus or trams. There is no internet connectivity in the room. It is very far from rail station. I would not book this Ibis Kriens hotel again. We had booked a non-smoking room, but as soon as we walked into our room it was obvious that it had been or was a smoking room. I told the employee at the front desk and he said that all the rooms were non-smoking, but came up to the room and sprayed some air freshener. I asked for another room, but he said it would be on the 3rd floor and that the WiFi probably wouldn't work too well. We opted to stay in the room, open the windows and make do. The staff was pretty rude. The Room had issues like Bathroom door handle came off and so did main door handle cover. Also some thing basic such as tea or milk are charged and no tea maker in the room. Very uncomfortable rooms. Location is not good for tourists. Staff are not at all helpful. I will never make mistake of booking this hotel in future.
