The staff were wonderful, so helpful and engaging...... The Bed and Breakfast is located a short bus trip or 15 minute walk from the centre of the old city in Luzern. The house will probably not be for everyone, but it has character, is clean and we felt a great home away from home. Just ignore the squeaky floor boards (it adds character) and relax about the shared bathrooms (which really worked quite well when we were there). It's a simple establishment, but the warmth of the hosts surpassed any other place we stayed in; it always felt like we were coming back every evening to a friend's place! This warmth was felt starting with their reply to my email enquiry before our stay and lasted right through to our check out. Clean, comfortable, spacious and quiet rooms; hearty breakfast included. Pleasant neighbourhood, conveniently near No.1 Bus line which brought us to many major sightseeing and transport spots we needed. The Bed and Breakfast in Lucerne was a wonderful little b and b with the most helpful and friendly staff. Evelyn and Andrea were both fantastic and helped us with plans for a wonderful day trip and tickets to Mt. Rigis. The inn was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was great! The B&B was within easy walking distance to the historic city center through a very nice, uncongested neighborhood with lovely old homes. We look forward to staying there again some time in our future. the staff is very nice to us, and the garden is pretty nice. the room is not very big, but it is enough for us. unfortunatly the bathroom is shared, if there are private, it will be prefect. it is quiet at night, and neay bus station, pretty easy to get train station by bus. Staff was very helpful in finding a boat cruise for us and they spoke excellent English. Also, they allowed us to use the refrigerator and freezer to store medicine and ice packs. The Bed + Breakfast was a beautiful building and the rooms were nicely decorated. The staff member was so friendly and helped give us some direction before we headed to the city. We didn't enjoy the city itself, it was too busy and not much to see. With the hotel the beds were very creaky which was a bit annoying at night. The parking cost 20 chf and the hotel itself is pricey due to being near the city. Parking a bit expensive No TV in room. Really creaky floorboards. Would prefer en-suite (at least a shower in the room). a little bit far from city center, 20mins walk to bhf. We had to share a very small bathroom with three other rooms. Our room was small and dorm-like and void of decoration. Don't recommend for familly. You have to share the bathroom with other two rooms it is horrible! It is like staying at a Hostal for students, terrible!.
