Excellent hotel, very friendly staff, nicely located. Amazing is the sound isolation, the hotel is located in the heart of the city with trams running next to it, still if you close the windows, nothing will disturb you. -

The hotel is very quaint and is located perfectly near main train station and old city. If you are looking for a conventional hotel and all it's amenities then Helvetia not for you. Very pleasant family hotel. Convinient location (15 min to Zurich HB, 10 min to the old city) , friendly staff.Good breakfast with a large variety of cheeses, bacon, flakes with milk and yogurt, croissant.
There was no queue in the bathroom. We even did not meet anybody on the floor.

The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The room was newly redone and was comfortable and had all of the conveniences one would want. The restaurants are very nice and have great food. The room I booked, though expensive, has the value. The overall feeling of interior, river & city view are excellent. Hotel location is also good.
The machine that provides fresh orange juicy for breakfast is outstanding.

The situation of the hotel, it was right in the old town and the variety of restaurants outstanding. Because it was in busy area due to shops and restaurants thought it was going to be noisy at night but that wasn't the case. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast choice very good. Easy walking distance to main station and the Zurich Lake. Ferries also very accessible. Very enjoyable stay.
