  the view from our balcony was stunning. the room though small was really neat and kept well for the guests. there is a restaurant in the hotel, and served good food too. outside hotels there are lots of shops and restaurants, if u just want to explore grindelwald this is a perfect place, and its a value for money too. the hotel is 5mins walking f... what people say » rom the Grindelwald train station. but make sure u arrive before 11am at night or there is no more train from interlaken to Grindelwald. the taxi will - We loved the location, just across from the station and central to everything. As 2 couples, we had the adjoining rooms with shared bathroom between rooms. This worked very well as each bed room had its own hand basin. Included buffet b/fast was excellent offering a good variety including scrabbled eggs, bacon and lovely fresh bread. We also enjoyed the meals in the downstairs restaurant, where the staff were very friendly. Big bonus, it has an elevator.

  It is a great hotel with very efficient, friendly staff. The rooms are very well kept, the beds have crip linen, the bathrooms are spanking new. We really enjoyed every bit of our stay.   The original room was very nice however the room offered for the last night (which was requested after the booking) was not very nice and we checked out on that day instead of staying. The hotel was nice and didn't charge us. As a note of info but not criticism, it is for people who wish to stay away from the hustle bustle of touristy activities and who are ready to trek or drive upto this place. Each morning we ate our breakfast looking out on a beatiful range of snow covered mountains. Our room was simple but spacious with good facilities and a comfortable large double bed.   We stayed for two nights and felt our stay to be one of the best during our 8 days trip to Switzerland. An excellent and well managed family run hotel, which maintains the best standards they can. Very ethical and friendly in dealing with guests. Extremely helpful and courteous. Good location (less than 100 mtrs from the train station and city cen... what people say » tre). Would definitely check-in again whenever we get a chance to be in Grindelwald. - Friendly staff who loaned my wife a pair of gloves when we went up the Jungfrau railway and who made us feel really welcome. Free parking round the back of the hotel. Don't park in the spaces with meters at the bottom of the sloped drive but go up the slope, drop off baggage at the front door and then continue round to the parking spaces at the back.
