  Just got back and everything about this place is as good as earlier reviews say it is. I was tempted not to add comments so I could keep this gem to myself. We were staying B/B so cannot comment on the evening meal but the breakfast was excellent, with choice galore & as much (or little) as you wish from fresh fruit, cooked and continental br... what people say » eakfasts, omelettes etc. The hotel staff & their service is great throughout from the front desk, bar-staff to the nice ladies who clean the rooms - The staff are excellent: professional and competent whilst also friendly and good humoured. The Hotel Illa d'Or has a magnificent setting, with wonderful views both of sea and mountains; and located in a quiet spot towards the end of the Pine Walk, which makes a lovely short promenade to the centre.   The Uyal was away from the main resort bustle but an easy, flat stroll to the centre of things when we wanted the shops and restaurants etc. Local bus stops to Alcudia and Pollense Old Town were 100 meters from Uyal and cost 3Euros single, for 2 people. Our room was tastefully decorated and immaculate. We had a fabulous view from our front facing ... what people say » balcony. Breakfasts were particularly good and it was no inconvenience to eat breakfast early, on our departure day. - We enjoyed being across the street from the beautiful beach. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed the breakfast every morning. There was a variety of food to please everyone's taste. The room had free internet which was great. We never had problems finding a place to park that was close to the hotel. We also liked that it was a nice walk to the town center and there were all kinds of restaurants in the vicinity.

  Staff were ever so friendly. I was only bed and breakfast but the food was great. Room was lovely and it was very peaceful only a few mins walk to the lovely sandy beech.
