  We had some problem the first night: they booked a room for us in another hotel 'cause we were in sort of overbooking. But from the second day the stay was great. To apologize they leave us one of the best room (and for a day more), give us breakfast for free (at the bar nearby) and discount part of the ammount. So I can say they were very sorry f... what people say » or the inconvenience and remedied it in the best way they could. The place is in a great position, the room was clean and quiet, just little bit dark - The place was super clean. The interieur was modern and cosy, and the matresses were excellent for sleeping. Great location for sightseeing, shopping, or beach.

  The staff was wonderful and a great source of information. The location was about a 10 minute walk to the train station and central to the main streets.   The staff members went beyond the call of duty on more than one occasion to accommodate us and make our stay as pleasant as possible. Facilities are basic however for the money you would be hard pushed to find somewhere as good as this place. Also taking the location into consideration, I don't believe more facilities would benefit the hostal much... what people say » as it is situated so close to the city centre you will find yourself with so much to do on your doorstep you probably won't use the hostal for anythi - The Hostal is run by extreamly polite Indian gents and is in a perfect location for a city visit (only yards from the Ramblas). I saw reviews criticizing the wi-fi but I had a strong connection all holiday. We stayed in a double en-suite room and although basic, it was immaculatly clean, with beds made up each day and clean towels every 2 days. The bed was extreamly comfortable and there was always plenty of hot water in the shower. Great place to stay if you want a cheap holiday. ps. felt ver

  I needed an economical place to stay for a 15 hour layover in Barcelona. I also wanted to be fairly close to everthing so I could take one last look before leaving Spain. The Pension Francia room was perfect: spacious and clean with good amenities at an excellent price. I even had a nice balcony with a vew of the Cafe Xixi and the pretty passagew... what people say » ay. The location is great as it is walking distance to Port Vell, Barceloneta Beach, Barcelona Cathedral. Barcelona Zoo, El Born, Bari Gotic, Musee P - I love this hotel, it's simpel and clean ! I think it's the 5th time that I stayed here, and I'm always very happy here. Not all of the personel speaks english - I think that's just also the charm, you're in Catalunya... not in England- but they are always very helpfull and friendly. Location is great, and the price quality is very good I think. Will definitly return ! Good internet connection.

  This hostel is situated on La Rambla - So bring earplugs or stay up late! It is also close to subway Drassanes and busses to the beach (59, 64). a typical spanish building, with too small staircases, tiled floor and french balconys. Friendly, serviceminded staff, even though they did not speak english. Safe for valuables in my room. Tv, a sink and... what people say » also a small radiator for cold days.... Cleaning every day. 24 h reception. Only one shower on each floor, but I hardly saw any other guests. - Everything was very good. The staff was kind and responsive, the room and bathroom were clean. The main thing I liked most of all was unlimited Wi-Fi Internet with good speed. Balcony faces to the main beautiful street Ramblas, so, you can see artists and cafes along the street during the day and night life of youth at night. The bed was soft and with clean bedsheets. And it is good that there is a sink in the room.
