I love this hotel, it's simpel and clean !
I think it's the 5th time that I stayed here, and I'm always very happy here. Not all of the personel speaks english - I think that's just also the charm, you're in Catalunya... not in England- but they are always very helpfull and friendly.
Location is great, and the price quality is very good I think. Will definitly return ! Good internet connection.

The staff was wonderful and a great source of information. The location was about a 10 minute walk to the train station and central to the main streets. We had some problem the first night: they booked a room for us in another hotel 'cause we were in sort of overbooking. But from the second day the stay was great. The bed was of really good quality, and the linen was also. Great to get into a comfy bed after the day in such a a great city. This place is amazing. Our room was very clean and functional. It is close to the downtown. Also extremely convenient that La Isla Hostal is a couple of blocks from Estacio Nord (bus station) and Estacio de França (railway station). Friendly and helpful stuff. In my opinion, it is an ideal choice for budget-minded travelers.

The staff members went beyond the call of duty on more than one occasion to accommodate us and make our stay as pleasant as possible. Facilities are basic however for the money you would be hard pushed to find somewhere as good as this place. Also taking the location into consideration, I don't believe more facilities would benefit the hostal much

The Hostal is run by extreamly polite Indian gents and is in a perfect location for a city visit (only yards from the Ramblas). I saw reviews criticizing the wi-fi but I had a strong connection all holiday. We stayed in a double en-suite room and although basic, it was immaculatly clean, with beds made up each day and clean towels every 2 days. The bed was extreamly comfortable and there was always plenty of hot water in the shower. Great place to stay if you want a cheap holiday. ps. felt ver

The Hostel is really great. It's located in the city centre close to Placa Catalunya. The nearest metro station is only 50 metres away! Stuff was very friendly always willing to help. There was no problem with printing some tickets or with leaving our bags for 8 hours after the check out as we had late evening flight. Overall i would highly recommened this place especially that room with private patio.
