- Great location, close to 2 underground stations, Tetuan and Passeig de Gracia. We walked about 20 mins to Sagrada Familia and about the same time from Placa de Catalunya (where we got the bus to the airport)

Overall a great place to stay. It is only a 15 minute walk from Las Ramblas and many other major atttractions, but is in a nice quiet location. It is also only a few minutes walk to the nearest Metro stations, which provide easy access across Barcelona. The room was fairly small, but was well decorated; was lovely and clean; and was quiet. It also had a nice balcony. The staff were friendly and helpful and offered good sightseeing tips.
the room was as it was described on the pics here..clean and modern with LCD big T.V.,small toilet and a small balconi.We had anytime we wanted a computer on a seperate room available for anyone which we checked were we had to go.the receptionist was very friendly and always helpful.Metro Girona is 270 metre (around 4 minutes by foot) where you can go anywhere..Also Placa de Catalunya is 2 km away from the Hostalin.
What a fantastic hotel! Incredibly clean room with a lovely balcony. Just a short walk from Las Ramblas, and Sagrada Família, and a stroll from the beach. Staff were really friendly and we were really impressed by the value for money. Would definitely recommend to anybody heading to Barcelona - brilliant!!.

Joseph, the hotel manager, was a star. He began by waiting for our arrival late on a sunday evening. Throughout the 3 days he was extrememely helpful; helping with ticket bookings, printing, internet problems, pillows and blankets, etc...
This was perfect for me and my boyfriend. We paid a little extra for a room with a sitting area and it was great - the location is perfect, right near bus stops and metro stops. The staff was friendly and the room was impeccably clean.
The location is the best feature. Our room looked out on the Gran Via Cort des Catalanes street, which is incredibly busy, but when the windows were closed you couldn't hear anything. The room had air-conditioning which was great.

The location is perfect-quiet neighborhood- near to metro station "Tetuan"- privacy- clean- friendly staff especially Jorge and Ramon- awesome balcony view in the morning ohh- I would lovely stay there again.

Good location, there are two subway station in very close distance. staff is also very friendly(one nice person). there isn't a world standards but everything is nice.

During the working week the street noise from buses can wake a light sleeper from about 5:30 am onwards. No problem at the weekend.
I don't really have a negative. It's a great budget hotel in a great location.
The only thing is that the hotel doesn't serve any meal like breakfast but its ok just cross the street buy bread cheese and wine from small shop managed by very sweet lady and enjoy having your own simple breakfast while watching cars and people walking :).
The room wasn't as large as I imagined from the photo, but it was good enough for us.
Also, the keys to the door were little difficult to close and open...
Noisy, but then the fact that its on 'Gran Via' should make that pretty obvious. Ear plugs are recommended if you're a light sleeper.
This wasn't an issue for us, but although it's a 'hostal' there's no communal kitchen (only a fridge).
Would have liked breakfast facilities at the hotel. They didn't have our booking when we first arrived, but the issue was resolved quickly.

Double glazed balcony door cuts out a lot of noise from busy road below.
Just one thing but I have trouble with mine back, the bed is very hard thats only thing for me thats a problem.
the air con didnt work properly on our first night as the room next door had it on heat rather than cool. This made the room uncomfortably hot. Not the fault of the staff, though.
