From the time we checked until we left we were impressed with the courtesy of the staff, the cleanliness and comfort of our room, and the food in the restaurant. The overall hotel premises are well maintained, and we would definitely recommend it. When Hilton take over in April 2013, we hope that they will continue to keep up the high standards of the present management.

    The staff were fantastic and made me feel right at home. I can honestly say that of all the places I have stayed, I would rate the staff at Oakhurst among the best.     The mountain view from our window was fantastic. The lifts worked very efficiently. Easy access to the parking garage was good. Having a restaurant and shopping facilities close at hand. As we were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary, the rose petal heart on out bed was a very nice thought. - I loved the location and comfort the Hotel provid... what people say » es, together with the close proximity to all amenities.     The room was huge and had a balcony around that corner that had a great sea view. Quirky decoration and good place to chill out with lots of places to eat nearby.     After a day on the road coming to the "Vineyard" is like paradise. We were upgraded to the garden suite at no further cost and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Literally 10 minute drive from Stellenbosch and 3 minutes away from Somerset West this is a good location for outings - or just to relax in the lovely garden and on the spacious pool. Theresa and Coete are utterly charming hosts: they gave me medicine and helped nurse me when I had sunstroke, gave my wife a blanket to keep her warm at the rugby and lent us their gps to get there. Beautiful accommodation, really comfy bed and option to dine on site. More like staying with friends than a B&B.

    Very nice and friendly hosts. They really take care of you and answer your questions and guide to best places in town. They will tell you where you can see the whales for free and we saw more than what we saw on the boat trip that we paid for r 650/each.     Not an ultramodern hotel but rather a well maintained hotel with a more genteel feel. The rooms were nicely sized, comfortable bed and kept spotless by the staff. The rooms were well soundproofed so you had no extraneous noise from other rooms. The restaurant was pleasant and the food well above average. The hotel is quite well placed in a slightly quieter part of town next to the parliament buildings but only a 10 minute strol - Staff eager to help us as we arrived early were leaving late and had to leave luggage at hotel. We were upgraded to double rooms with views of Table Top. A cheap taxi ride or walk from all the major city sites. Excellent breakfast included. Rooms spacious with all facilities. Compared with our hotel in Rio on the same trip and for the same price Townhouse was streets ahead. Can't wait to go back to Cape Town and when I do there's only one place I'll be staying - The Townhouse.

    Great location for us. We only stayed one night to visiti the Cango caves as well as the Ostrich farms. The restaurant restaurant next to the guesthouse was excellent and ou host did reserve a table for us to make sure we would be on the terrace. The Guesthouse is very clean and is well equipped. Enjoyed our stay, was too short. - I liked the personal welcome of Hew and Zoe, I already sipped a beer before we started the paperwork! Both hosts have a very interesting business background and are the perfect conversation partners. They also gave me the valuable hint to go to the Buffelsdrift Lodge for a sunset drink, which was an outstanding experience. Rooms are cosy and very clean.
