I was very much satisfied with my stay at the hotel. I got an outstanding service, the place is very much comfortable. i was very much impressed by the fact that i paid for my internet access voucher for wireless, but when they found out that the server was done, i was kindly refunded. Very good service and keep it up fountains hotel. Even though the guest review was not very encouraging and I had booked two two double rooms, when we checked the hotel staff upgraded us to a penthouse double room with a kitchen and Hall room without extra payment. I must thank the hotel for this consideration. Overall it was an amazing experience.

Nothing but great things to sayabout the entire experiance I would stay here again and would recommendthis hotel to anyone who wants to have a great time in Cape Town. Location is excellent. Staff is very friendly (beyond comparison!) and efficient. Breakfast is "lekker", but the buffet dinner is very good value for money. Highly recommanded.Staff excellent - nothing is too much trouble. Wonderful hotel in a great location - walking distance to city centre/churches/cultural sights etc. Higlhy recommend. We felt welcome, and enjoyed our rooms immensely. The rooms are really clean.It met our needs perfectly. Was close to the Convention Center for my conference (and much cheaper than the hotels nearer the CC). Made use of the limited but adequategym and single lane swimming pool which was a novelty for me!!!! We did enjoy th ehotel and w were very happy of having selected this hotel. The lift situation at peak times The forced wake-up at 08:30 through cleaners. Yes- The parking fees are way too high. The bath/shower water was luke warm. internet access hugely expensive. little thing like no cork screw in the rooms. Pool was a little cold and small indoor basement (poorly signed). Poor internet access. The swimming pool was absolutely disgusting and should not be advertised as one. Also the gym facilities were pretty poor.No menu restaurant in the evening. I resist Buffets so I had to eat in my room. Internet no free.I stayed in a suite and it was great. It is clean and well kept, but a bit hollow. A bit of decor would be nice. Restaurant in the hotel is really bad, the food is bad and in the evening they serve only buffet. Breakfast was good though. Elevators were not working properly sometimes. The internet voucher system didn't work properly.We had trouble with an international calling card. Still don't know if it was the hotel's phone system or our card. (However the hotel put us through to US and didn't even charge us for the brief call). One of the staff informed me that it was dangerous to change money atthe ATMs directly outside, but he escorted me to and from which wasabove and beyond the call of duty. This is a dangerous city byreputation but I never felt threatened and if pestered I asked them gtogo away and they did, pronto.Room service staff sometimes was too "obliging", one day they throwed out my bottle with little mineral water left, another time - plastic bag with some fruits (fruits were fresh :)). Conditioner worked very loudly (I think something was not wrong) and disturbed sleeping. The cooked breakfast was cold apart from the eggs which were cooked to order. It would have been helpful if the Hotel had a shuttle bus to take guests to nearby attractions given that it was not near to restaurants etc. and it is not reccommended that walking is safe at night. Some Hotels in Cape Town do provide this service.Staff were unhelpful. Location directions on the webpage, it took me ages to find the hotel after asked a few local people. The breakfast was chaotic with long waiting time by the food dishes which could be organised in a better manner. Extremely noisy for rooms at front of hotel. Traffic noise from 5am.toilet seat cover was loose and didn't get fixed till 2nd day.

By Car (from the airport or anywhere outside Cape Town): - Take the N1 or N2 towards Cape Town. - Follow signs towards the V&A Waterfront & Cape Town Convention Centre. - At the end of the motorway, continue straight on, past the 1st and 2nd set of traffic lights in Cape Town (the V&A Waterfront entrance is on the right). - At the 3rd set of traffic lights, turn left into Riebeeck Street. - At the fifth set of traffic lights (they are all within a few hundred metres), turn left into St Georges Mall (pedestrian area). - The hotel is situated 50 metres down on St Georges Mall.
