excellent service. The people were wonderful. The Hotel Staff was a true delight. Very Professional. I would not hesitate staying at Al Liwan suites again. The Limo (cab) driver they have servicing the hotel is the most honorable man we met in Qatar, his name is Kweo. The breakfast was great! Overall, the hotel suite, dining, staff, management, pool, wireless internet, etc etc was awesome!.
all reviews » the staff were very helpful. it is a good place to stay if you have kids. overall, its a good 4 star hotel. staff was very friendly and helpful, hotel quite central.The decor suggests an arabian mansion of several decades back but with modern comforts and recently constructed. This I found very suggestive. Friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The suite has a large bedroom with salon, fridge, washing machine, stove and microwave oven+ a nice sitting area for guests. Quiet and friendly atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and the location was just a few minutes from the airport, making it very convenient. I opted for the delux suite and it was very large and functional.complementary lift to airport. Friendly reception staff. Friendly staff throughout the hotel. friendly staff. didn't mention we needed visa even though we were just staying as transit passenger. The washing machine was somewhat difficult to operate, but after they showed me about 5 times it finally worked. I recommend getting a good lesson on how to use it once you get there. The location was not attractive at all.. parking in the basement was very narrow.. no enough parking space in front of the hotel, the bathroom was small and had a damp smell (the shower curtain). ther is nathing i did'nt liked in the hotel. The shower is part of a bath tub and it's easy to mess with water.I feel the breakfast buffet was a bit under the price( not much bread choices, juices not fresh). Roomsand linen had a musty smell. For the relative young age of the property, the room appointments were a bit "aged" with questionable construction, especially in the bathroom area. The optional wireless Internet in the room was way too costly. I have found that many hotels in Europe and the Middle East are profitting more off the Internet connection fees, than they are the room!. Style/design of interior is not everybody's taste. extremely noisy- both external construction noise and internal noise from the restaurant below our room. The bathroom was smelly, swimming pool filthy, most of the facilities upstairs were closed, service level poor.
