Oh my gosh, I loved the staff. I have stayed in hotels in SLovenia, Thailand, Paris, Barcelona, Turkey, Italy, Lebanon, Australia and Jordan in the past two years and no hotel has offered the friendly staff of Hotel Unicus. There was no pressure to tip or anything. The staff helped me with any quirky need or normal question I had. My mum and I were thrilled to be treated with such genuine helpfulness by the staff. I don't think I have stayed in a Hotel which impressed me more in terms of the st.
all reviews » a wonderful place to stay, we arrived on a overnight train so turned up to the Hotel at 7.00am expecting to leave our bags there and check in later. The staff offered us breakfast and then said they would telephone us when our room was ready, they did about 2 hours later. Amazing...very clean, great breakfast selection. The ultra modern shower needs a better door to stop water going all over the floor.overall all very good, we WILL be back... The staff is absolutely friendly and lovely. Always helpful and kind as most people in Poland. The location is great, you can walk through the old town, there is no need to get a taxi, although taxis are much cheaper than other cities in Europe. The hotel is modern and clean and the beds are very comfortable. For sure will stay there again on my next trip to Krakaw and will definetly recommend the hotel to all my friends. Location was perfect - right next to the theater and main square. The staff were incredibly helpful. The rooms were clean (bathrooms are ultra modern), and the hotel has an incredible sauna facility open 24/7. The prices were more than reasonable!. I traveled with my sister and we shared a twin room on the 4th floor. Room was lovely as was bathroom. Very central just a few minutes walk to the square. The only problem is that the heating on the room is controlled from the reception, so it was difficult to get a comfortable temperature. The room had no blackout curtains. Nothing. Nothing. My husband tried the sauna one night and it was hardly warm. It took 15 minutes to crank up to the required temperature. no dislikes. We only stayed for one night so not a big issue for us, but had we stayed longer the lack of English speak channels and movie channels would have been a bit annoying. (They just have Polish channels and Euronews, a 4 star hotel should be able to do a little better than that). Whilst this is no fault of the hotel's, across the road there are a couple of bars, so it can be noisy at night. Of course the flipside is that Krakow is a great city for going out at night, there are plenty of good venues, probably because of the volume of university students. Perhaps requesting a room on a higher floor will reduce this disturbance if you want to avoid it. Nothing to mention. Bedding was a little awkward with two duvets rather than one king but not a big problem. It must've been cheaper, Krakow is not nyc. Expensive breakfast and restrant. Breakfast is ab 20euro/person and as a result we ate breakfast at central sq. 10Euro/person. nothing!. Food at breakfast was not always very well replenished but the choice available was reasonably good although a little pricey compared to eating out at one of the cafes and restaurants close by. It was difficult to figure out the air-conditioning and we were there during a heat wave. there is no hotel parking. Two small points: - Gym is basically two running machines and fitnes ball. Adding dumbells, bench and stretching station will improve gym value significantly - Pillows might have been better. Did not realize on booking that we were opposite a gentleman's club, which was a bit of a concern as we were mother and daughter travelling together!. I asking reception people to help me get doctor. They can not help me and tell that I need wait more than six hours (I had really hight temperature) for comming doctor. The visitors can not get medical services in Krakow??. Nothing everithing was good. Room was directly opposite nightclub which played late into the night. ...the nignt clubs in front of the hotel are very noisy specially on weekends. No choice to change the room as all rooms face the street. Nothing. Shampoo/ body wash was poor quality. I couldn't connect wi-fi sometimes. Uncomfortable beds. poor breakfast and service had to ask if needed. Although we requested for the most quiet room, we were given probably the most noisy room. There is a night club just opposite side of the hotel and i wake up 3-4 times because of this disco noise!. very poor furniture beds etc etc.
