A better than average *** hotel at a ** price. Excellent. Did not trythe restuarant apart from breakfst (cooked beakfast incl in the price).Temperature outside was -10Deg c (14f) but room was warm. Outstanding room (very big). Friendly/helpful staff. The location. The staff could not ahve been better. absolutelly everything. The beds were very comfortable and the breakfast was good, but the front desk staff was superb. They spoke English well and bent over backwards to meet our every need. The location is perfect for visiting the old town center of Krakow.Staff were fantastic, very efficient - arranged taxies, tickets etc - nothing was too much trouble. Clean, comfortable, spacious rooms. Good breakfast 7-11am! Stayed there last year and another very enjoyable experience. It was so close to the main square and within easy walking distance to the station. It was generally in need of a bit of money spending on it - it was perfectly clean but the decor and fittings are rather old and dated.We did not get to stay in the hotel proper, rather in their "Annex". This was not a big deal, but we had to walk a block to the hotel for breakfast. Not very good shower (old and not practical). The beds were uncomfortable. The beds were too soft and you could feel the springs. the apartments are quite noisy during night. The suite was not as clean as it could have been. Breakfast serving area (buffet) in restaurant was congested - only room for one person at a time. When ordering hot breakfast, service was slow. Carpet on the stairs leading to our room in the annexe was badly laid and dangerous. A guests could easily hurt themselves if they tripped up.The walls in the appts needed re-painting and on the stairway. Ceiling lamps need cleaning.Some of them were black!. The water in the toilet ran throughout our visit and the water pressure in the shower was not very strong. Sleeping bed must be changed. In letsbookhotel.com, I was informed that all rooms have internet connection. My room (in annex) has not internet connection. very dated interior.Bathroom fittings very substandard. Appendix is cold in winter. Very uncomfortable beds, room and bathroom needs serious renovation.

The Hotel Elektor also houses a restaurant dining 26 in the best gourmet traditions. Our catering follows the customs of the stately homes and our Chef de Cuisine prepares rare delicacies of the Old Polish aristocratic tables following the exclusive recipes from the household of Prince Potocki derived in a French manner. We have had the honour of dinning the most eminent personalities from the world of international politics, business and culture; and also of preparing and serving the farewell lunch to her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in the historic setting of the Collegium Maius. The Royal bill of fare included Spring Salad à l'Elektor, Roast Leg of Veal and Peaches in Champagne for dessert.
Our wine cellar, which seats 40 revellers, is situated in the historic 14th-century basement of our Hotel, and it serves the finest vintage wines. Its professional service and warm club atmosphere ensure the right climate of relaxation which our patrons admire so much. There is also a dance hall in the wine cellar, fitted out with the latest state-of-the-art but also discreet equipment and lighting effects.
