Very friendly staff. Quiet room. King bed was very comfortable (I slept like a baby). Great central location. Safe neighborhood. Walk out the front door and take two left turns and an excellent Peruvian restaurant "Machu Picchu" is a 5 minute walk. Keep walking 10 more minutes the same direction and "Istmo Brew Pub" has excellent micro brew beer on tap with inside/outside seating and big screen TV's with sports (watched nfl Playoff game there). The Pub is a nice place to unwind in the evening. .

Everything was nice in this hotel- from the friendly, helpful staff to the modern bathroom fixtures. I especially appreciated the luxurious bed, which can be tough to find in this price range. The free breakfast was also above and beyond the typical fare, offering sausage, empanadas, pancakes, eggs, etc. Lastly, free printing in the business center (that was a first anywhere for me). The greeting with a cup of tea and an invitation to sit down in the lobby while staff checked us in was great. The rooms, hallways, roof-top plants, breakfast room, and lobby are upscale and clean. Great towels and wash cloths (!) in the clean bathroom. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, with over 15 choices of hot and cold items. Parking was in a covered area, and free. About everything except for some of the wait staffs lack of English comprehension. Actually, in all fairness I recommend that all travelers to any foreign countries brush up on some basic phrases. I realized that my forty+ year lapse in using Spanish didn't leave my usage rusty, but more like rusted out. Great Hotel for the price and helpfulness of the staff. service was excellent great location rooms clean coffee, tea, juice, jugs of water available 24-7 and were also brought to the room upon request with a statement that tips are not necessary. The traffic is terrible and the hotel is only a very little bit difficult for taxis/cabs to get to...but not the hotel's fault..it is the way it is...But could pass out cards ?.. To all taxi drivers and tourist info centres ?. No pool or gym. I did not like the two hours it took to try to drive to the hotel. We gave up and hired a taxi to lead us to the hotel. nothing. Nothing, our hotel choice on any return trip to Panama City. There isn't anything I could fault them for. Very professional group, friendly and helpful at every turn. Having to leave. I don't particularly like big cities. The streets nearby were not attractive for walking. However, given the size and amount of traffic, I appreciated the quietness of the hotel location on a side street. Not enough cupboards with draws for tourists rather than desks, caters more for business travellers. Maintenance to fix a cupboard door took more than 2 days. N/A....loved it all!. Box breakfast to go was like an insult. The bread was very green with mold and the sandwich had one miniscule piece of meat inside. We threw them out...disgusting!! Also, no plastic spoon for the yogurt. Good idea because airport food stalls were closed but terrible follow through. Very cold air conditioning in the restaurant and no kids meals in the menu. a little bit far from most attractions. No conceire on holidays, room was cleaned quickly so not as clean as it could be. Still very clean, though. Dead bolt didn't work. They used big fluffy comforters which were too hot for the climate. Otherwise it was perfect. breakfast just so-so. Forgot to order us a taxi at 5:30am as well as our breakfast "to go" on the back end of our trip. They remembered both on the front end. On the the second night the restaurant got busy, and they refused to provide room service, then closed early. I guess they ran out of food?. the walls were not sound proof enough and the televisions and conversations of others late night and early morning was disturbing at times. Wi-fi internet was intermittent from room. Downtown location. overpriced overall. small restaurant lobby area and busy. Food was average. Nice staff. Great location. Receptionist seemed more interested in being on her mobile phone. Seemed bored with her job and lacked basic information. They over booked the Hotel and they assigned me a very small room across the street which they call their overflow rooms. It is the bottom floor of a Commercial office buliding. I needed to get new keys 3 times per day because the Door locks to the room kept un programming. You also need to cary other keys to get through 2 each iron Gates and 1 each Office Lobby door. I will never stay their again.It is to bad, because the staff is very friendly. The woman at the front desk did not know anything about Panama City. She was rude and never smiled.
